I've got a five year old doe that has had a droopy ear for a couple of days. The other ear is just about straight out from the side of her head, which appears low to me, but the one ear droops at about a 30 degrees from the side of her head. Her eyes don't look quite right, but it might just be how they look with the droopy ears. She does not shake her head or carry it to slanted to one side. She is eating fine, chewing her cud, and not losing weight, but I'm still concerned. I gave her 2 cc of Draxxin yesterday as a preventative measure as I just had a doe with confirmed pneumonia last week.

Anybody have any ideas or experience with something like this?

Thank you-

Chuck it would be my guess that she may have been kicked in the ear. If thats the case the ear should stand back up in a few days . If she has another issue you covered it with the draxxin !

I have a doe that did that last yr. couple of days ant then she was fine I did nothing to treat and still dont know what caused it.

I can echo the exact same thing that Uncle Harley just said, only change would be that it occurred in one of my does just 2 weeks ago.

I had 3 buck and a doe do this for about 3 days after a tornado came through a couple of week ago. It didn't touch down ( THANK GOD! ) but it did blow a lot of trees over and heavy heavy rain a lot. I started to medicate the deer, but then I just decided that they must have got some water in their ears during the storm. Did nothing and all the deer are fine now!
