has anyone tried this product???

if so with what results

Cervine Sexing Agent - MALE

Gender selection at your fingertips!

When next years' fawns are dropping, the first thing you will want to know is the sex of the fawn. That's because the number one genetic trait of any animal is gender. With BUCKPLUS, you can shift the odds in your favor and deliver the results you need towards your overall breeding goals! When 2014 comes around (and it surely will), you will be glad you used our BUCKPLUS gender selection technology.

I have not used it, but have talked to company quite a bit. No sure whether its a sham or not. I have talked to some pretty big vets that's say its not possible to add a product to a straw and have it "kill"  or inhibit a specific sex of the semen, which is what I got when I talked to the owner. The cost may be worth to try, but would be very interested to hear anyone elses experiences with it.

At $10/dose/straw, It's very cheap.   Could live with 75% buck fawns.  I am exactly 50-50 this year.  Looks like the dairy industry has been using it for a while.

Talked to Gerken Dairy Sales[dealer],  he said all their customers quit using on their dairy animals.  It added $10/breeding, and was a hassle for the farmer to mix it and let it stand for 20 minutes.  Sexed semen in dairy maybe is only about $15 higher.  He didn't think it would have any negative effects on us though.    If we LapAi anyway, and split straws, it isn't a big deal for us.  It's just like adding some extender.  For $10/straw, and we breed 3/does/straw, it isn't a big cost for us.  Sexing semen is so expensive, and if you have a bad collection it is costly.

I really like that it can be used on my old collections and can be used in the vaginal AI process as well. The increase of 15% in conception is worth the money being one of the sexing agents advantages. I am going to research and see if anyone is using similar methods or ingredients in human fertility fields. If they aren't it is likely a sham.

I have 20 straws of our buck "Matt" for sale for $1,000.  He's a Hardcore son that scored 233" @ 3.  I'd include 20 vials of this to anyone who buys the semen...1 for each straw.

Forgot to mention I've been in the process of trying to become a distributor for them.  For $10 per straw...why wouldn't you give it a try?

Well I don't know about you but there is a lot of time and money invested and risk to the animal when it's all said and done to use something that I know nothing about! I've never been one to be a guinea pig for something new unless it's seen a little mileage.

I totally understand.  Just my opinion that it's worth a shot.  Obviously it's not for everyone.

i'll do a free trial run for ya ryan lol

Maybe that's something we can work out!

Shsssssss It's top secret & could be patented soon. There is a great opportunity here to sell greedily for ten times the price to a struggling industry that is akin to plywood Jockeys schemes during a hurricane. What's the difference in price to do a straw of my durable deer semen vs. my bull cattle semen?

Anyone ever notice how you could take one Product...........Same ingredients same package but put a Cow a Pig a Goat and a Deer on the exact same Product and the one with the Deer.................Will be 3-5x higher to use ?

Wayne

Kinda like if it's plywood for a cow its on sale but if it's plywood for a deer, well that's ten times more??? Lol

The way I look at it is if there's a chance it's going to make me more successful...then I'm going to try it.  I know not everyone is a "gambler"...but sometimes it's worth a shot.  When I do something I go all in.  Just the way I am.  Who cares if doing a pig or a cow is cheaper or more expensive?  We're not talking about pigs or cows.  If $10 per straw (can usually do 3 does with 1 straw) or $3.33/doe is going to break you then it's probably not for you.  If I can get 1 extra buck fawn then it paid for itself 100 times over!  I'm not a distributor yet and I'm going to use this even if I don't become one...because to me it's worth a shot.  I've lost more than this will cost in my couch cushions before!  If I do become a distributor I'm just going to do it to provide a service and add to the stuff I'm already a distributor for.  I'm not going to try to sell it to anyone.  I'll just be here ready to ship if you want to give it a try.

D&T...the first thing I'll do if I become a distributor is put together a trial for your farm.  Let me know how many straws you plan to use so I can tell them my plans.  A trial can do nothing but help them and it looks like you're the only one (besides me) willing to give it a try.  We'll gather all the data from both of our farms and come back here and report the findings.  I have a world renowned swine vet that I used to work for close to me that specializes in clinical trials that will help me put it all together.

We could all name products that don't work.  Is this another one?  Who knows?  Nobody has come on here with proof that they've used it and it didn't work.  All you can do is try it or wait until someone does.  And without the help of someone that knows what they are doing...even people that try it might use it wrong and get bad results.  Does that mean it doesn't work?

I guess, if the product is out there for use, why should someone have to do a trail for the manufacturer?????????

And if it doesn't work or hinders your conception rates you have a lot more to lose than $10!!!!!!

when something new comes out I sit back and watch and make sure it works first before I use it.  Even though something has been tested doesn't mean you will get the results they claim.

Case in point, years ago an injectable ivermectin came out for horses and killed many and was pulled off the market.  Not saying this will harm the animal but the point is that even though a product gets approval doesn't mean it works.

I talked to a couple of guys this week that tried some new stuff with their AI this year.  They were trying to get a leg up on everyone with their AI with this different product.  1 of them went 1 for 36 on their AI.  He did better than the other two.

I would be careful going all in on something new.  Maybe baby steps is a better way.  Just my opinion.

Ryan, maybe you can help me out. I was interested in becoming a distributor for this product but got held up in a couple places. One thing I thought was beneficial was the number of deer we AI here, couple hundred, and I would have been to able to test it. The guy just didn't show much care. Another thing I asked for was to talk with a client that had used the product. I never heard back, I am still open to using it but like Jerrilee said I don't want my animals to be the "guinea pigs".
