Full Flees Bucks

R

Hey I was wondering why there is not more full flees bucks out on the market selling semen? Does the little guy farmers own any of them? Are they not worthy of selling semen or does the farmer sell them as shooter bucks? Like on whitetail exchange you don't see much full flees semen is that not what the market is hot for? Every once in a while I will see Sudden Explosion, Updraft, Buckys Impact, to name a few on whitetail Exchange. Is the market only hungry for bucks directly off the Flees farm? Our farm we own a full flees buck fawn and we are going to draw semen this fall from him and I was curious is it going to be hard for us to sell semen from him knowing that were a small deer farm. Or is it all just hype???

I would say some make the cut and many dont. If you do your reseach you will get an answer to your questions. Some farms only sell semen from the farm or from maybe one auction. In my eyes just because its full flees does not mean your buck is worthy of drawing semen or for me to even breed with.

Theres lots of great breedings out there and there is lots of hype also. There are guys that breed with a great pedigree and still dont make a great buck and there are some older lines with some lower or noname deer that made an awesome buck.

I think sometimes there are to much of one line in a buck. Bottom line is if your happy with your buck and he is gettin the job done on your farm making great sons and producing daughters then your doin ok. That does not mean another breeder will see it that way. Good Luck with that little guy!

I think that you are just starting to see the fruits of peoples labor. I was astounded a couple of days ago when I looked at a catalog from 2 years ago and how little Flees animals were being sold. Where did all the other breeding go? It seems like this year that that is all you have in the catalogs. In the past to have a full Flees animal you had to buy one off the Flees farm. Now, other farmers are producing them from does they have bought off the Flees farm and putting full Flees semen in their does. I would expect that the next couple years you will start seeing some emerge into the spotlight.

Ryan, I'm sure you have an awesome buck fawn. The Flees family has set the standard on how to grow giant bucks. They are class act people, as good as they come. Promote your farm and your deer. Good luck with you buck fawn I'm sure you'll do well.

Well with our new addition Wild Cardiac, Dream cardiacs womb brother and Wild Bucky co owned with Dream Ranch we will be promoting them!!!!

We have Big Heart a Cardiac Kid coming 2 year old that bred our best does to last fall. He shed his antlers yesterday and was in the low 160's with 2 drops broke off. We also have 5 Cardiac Kid and a Sudden Explosion coming yearlings that we have high hopes for.
