I bottle fed two fawns for the first time this year. I noticed the second week I had the first fawn in the fawn pen that she had two little thick crusty chunks on the edge and in the middle of the back of one ear. A couple days later they rubbed off but the one on the edge left a very small notch on the edge of that ear. Over the next few weeks she had a few small spots where the hair disappeared and became shinny in those spots. A couple spots showed up on the other ear also. I came to my own conclusion it appeared as though it was a fungal infection. I found some an old prescription of Diflucan which is used for treating people for athlete's foot and calculated by weight how much to put into the bottle when feeding. After treating for 1 week the hair began to grow back. Now after two weeks the hair is completely restored.
I doubt anyone else has maybe even seen this kind of issue but thought it would be worth sharing.
Oh, by the way, Diflucan 200mg also worked extremely to CURE athlete's foot.
