Yes I am still around. I do have a problem though. My oldest Buck was very sick during rut, we did not think he was going to make it, he did though. He had to be seperated from the other bucks, the Vet told me he would be too weak to breed. THe Wild Life Commission gave me ok to keep him with his true love Sissie. Now this was something special since we are under a ban to breed. Well not only did Lucky make it, he also bred to the females and I now have four beautiful buck fawns.:D The trick is I will have to sell them. We can export deer but not import or breed at this moment. They are talking about lifting the ban around August or so, but that is not set yet. MY deer have been tagged for CWD since late 2002. I have had two heads tested with negative results. NC is CWD free. :)

I have many pictures of the bucks and the babies. Do need some advise on how to go about this. I did put in an ad in Deerfarmer. com

You all have a good day and please give advise.

Thanks Mitch. Have not been on here for so long, did'n think anyone here wanted to hear my problems. Not many deer farmers left here, NC is really missing out. That old hard headed german in me would not let me give up. Its been a long fight but finally I do hope that it will pan out this year and we will join the rest of the nation.

At least I learned a lot about deer behavior in the last nine years. Gosh I cannot belief that its been that long since I started.

About my fawns, I know everyone has fawns and needs to sell them but my situation is a little different. I am in contemt with the Wild Life commission, I can only have 5 deer, I now have 9 of them. I really do not know what they are going to say until next week, I do know that I will have to sell as soon as possible.
