Need help now!started with a fawn 2 weeks ago. diarrhea black jelly with blood. Now its spread to the rest of the fawns and the does too. We've tried corrid and Ls-50. Nothing seems to work. The does have stopped eating .I gave the does baytril last night. Took a

Sample to the Vet last week and came up with toxidia but think it might be something more so now we're sending another sample in to another lab.It could take10 to 14 days for results.

Are you sure its not ecoli? Dimethox is what we use for coccidia....you have to do a treatment schedule (which is double the amount you give on the maintenance schedule) at least 5 days in the water to get the levels of protozoan count down in their system. We've had good luck with Neomycin in the bottle for ecoli....haven't had to use it the pens though. It took well over a week to get it out of their (the bottle fawns) system though. LS 50 is an antibacterial, but will not "treat" coccidia or ecoli. Have you tested for crypto? That is one bad thing.....

colostridium type A can cause there stool to look like black tar. I have seen in south texas couple yrs ago. We had ours tested and thats what came back Type A colostridium. So we vaccinated for it and have not had any since.

It just might be colistridium type a.I'm going to get the vaccine. Do you know what the dosage is and if I should give anything else?thanks guys for responding

I have good success with a product called Fastrack made by Conklin. If I can be of any help or have any questions let me know. you can email me [email protected] or call 574-209-2226

Sounds like an ulcerated small

Intestine. Poss salmonella, ecoli, or clostr a. I like baytril at 22 mg twice a day per 10 lbs for 7-10 days. Keep probiotics goin to

Replenish good gut bugs. If using baytril off label, remember these guys should not enter food chain later on- my disclaimer ;)
