Department of Conservation to hold chronic wasting disease meeting

Southeast Missourian

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The Missouri Department of Conservation has scheduled a Sept. 18 meeting in Cape Girardeau for public comment on protecting Missouri deer.

According to a news release issued by the agency, the meeting will focus on chronic wasting disease, or CWD. Current research suggests CWD has been found in captive and free-ranging deer in north-central Missouri. The disease is limited to deer and other members of the deer family called cervids. There is no vaccine or cure, and it is 100 percent fatal. Once the disease is well established in an area it is impossible to eradicate and, if left unchecked, it could significantly reduce deer numbers over time, the release said.

The public meeting in Cape Girardeau and in other locations across the state will afford deer hunters and other stakeholders an opportunity to comment on how to maintain a healthy deer population. As a result of information received, Wildlife Code changes may be suggested to the Conservation Commission for review, the release said.

The meeting will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Nature Center, 2289 County Park Drive. For more information, visit mdc.mo.gov and search "chronic wasting disease."

Chronic Wasting Disease CWD, and other TSE prion disease, these TSE prions know no borders.

___________________________________________________________________

COMMENT :

these TSE prions know no age restrictions.

The TSE prion disease survives ashing to 600 degrees celsius, that's around 1112 degrees farenheit.

you cannot cook the TSE prion disease out of meat.

you can take the ash and mix it with saline and inject that ash into a mouse, and the mouse will go down with TSE.

Prion Infected Meat-and-Bone Meal Is Still Infectious after Biodiesel Production as well.

the TSE prion agent also survives Simulated Wastewater Treatment Processes.

IN fact, you should also know that the TSE Prion agent will survive in the environment for years, if not decades.

you can bury it and it will not go away.

The TSE agent is capable of infected your water table i.e. Detection of protease-resistant cervid prion protein in water from a CWD-endemic area.

it's not your ordinary pathogen you can just cook it out and be done with. that's what's so worrisome about Iatrogenic mode of transmission, a simple autoclave will not kill this TSE prion agent.

I go from state to state trying to warn of the CWD and other TSE prion disease in other species, I just made a promise to mom. back then, there was no information.

so, I submit this to you all in good faith, and hope that you take the time to read my research of the _sound_, peer review science, not the junk science that goes with the politics $$$

right or left or teaparty or independent, you cannot escape the TSE prion disease.

there is a lot of science here to digest, but better digesting this _sound_ science, instead of the junk political science you will hear from the shooting pen industry.

I don't care what you eat, or what party you are affiliated with, my problem is, when you consume these TSE prions, and then go enter the medical, surgical, dental, blood and tissue arena, then you risk exposing _me or MY_ family to the TSE prion disease via friendly fire, the pass it forward mode of transmission mission, or what they call iatrogenic CJD. all iatrogenic CJD is, is sporadic CJD, until the route and source of the TSE prion agent is proven.

I am NOT anti-hunter, I am or was a hunter (disabled with neck injury and other medical problems), I am a meat eater.

I just don't care for stupid, and sometimes you just can't fix stupid, Lord knows I have tried.

I do NOT advertise on these blogs, they are there for educational use. ...

***However, PrPSc was detected in all heat-treated samples by using the protein misfolding cyclic amplification (PMCA) technique, which amplifies PrPSc in vitro. Quantitative analysis of the inactivation efficiency of BSE PrPSc was possible with the introduction of the PMCA50, which is the dilution ratio of 10% homogenate needed to yield 50% positivity for PrPSc in amplified samples.

This guy is reposting the crap that this Terry Singleterry posts on the qdma website and any other site he can wiggle his way into. He tries to make it sound like the sky is falling and then cant ever backup anything he spews!

This guy is in Texas and if you read his crap you will see what his agenda is.

If anyone gets emails from Deer Wire there was an write up from a guy is Wis that says the same thing...His first words are that cwd is going to kill off all the whitetails in that state and the dnr does not care and are worried only about numbers of deer for hunters. Then his next words are that this year they figure that state will have upwards of 2 million whitetails!!! Now after what,12 years of cwd in that state and the herd is growing to mass numbers, I just dont get it, The proof is there over and over of what cwd is not yet state like ours,Mo and Florida try to use this as a reason to close borders! Unreal.

I'm just plain sick and tired of DNR/DOC worrying about my deer. Are you kidding me? My deer are in a pen under my control. Their deer have no fence, roaming where ever they please, this could be across a road where it gets hit by a car possibilly injurying or killing someone. I buy my feed. Their deer just roam around causing damage to crops. And their deer cross back and forth across state lines at will with not even one state tag on it. I think we should be worried about Their Deer giving our deer something. We have control of our deer, They don't!!! Should't be hard to prove either. I think they should test every dead deer over 12 months of age.

Yes and it should be interesting in your state when they do find a case behind fence. Your state has had it in the wild many times. See if they accept responsibility for infecting your deer. Yeah Right!

I sent my thoughts but when are we going to go on the offensive I read what is wrote on their web page about CWD, the propaganda that they have there would scare anyone who doesn't know the facts. I can see why the public thinks the way they do with the statements made on that page.

I will be attending the state CWD public meeting located at Powder Valley Nature Center Sept. 5 at 6:30. I hope they have an educated speaker on the topic.

Thank u. It has been a very long, hard year since July 26, 2012..... We are finally here. No matter how difficult it may be, we get to be heard.

Paul, If it's like the ones I attended last year they WON'T........................If you call out there so called "EXPERT" .............Jason Summers and his charts and graphs he likes to use,You will see it's pretty easy to fluster him and get his theory spinning in circles................Funny thing was every time we called him on an issue and got MDC off the offensive and on defense the Hunters and Public in attendence could see the holes in MDC and their "Containment of CWD" Fairy Tale!

It was amazing though the more and more of these that Deer Farmers attended...........The more show of Intimidation MDC showed by having more and more Agents who showed up guns on hip and giving us the "Evil Eye"

Sent my thoughts

Rhonda keep up the fight. I can't imagine what your going through. I greatly appreciate everything your doing for the industry.

It's awesome to see everyone voicing their thoughts, remember Monday at 2 p.m. in Buffalo, Missouri is Meeting #2 of 4 scheduled with the Legislation. We need you, we need bodies in the seats. If you can, please attend. It is at the O'Bannon center just north of the square.....thanks everyone...troy

Kurt,

I posted my comments. Good luck in your fight. A win for anyone is a win for us all.

I want to thank everyone for their support.. They are coming after us one by one and it is important that we all stick together in this battle. I love to raise whitetail and i don't plan on backing down and letting them take my personal property rights from me ... We are all Americans and have to fight to keep this country the way our forefathers intended it to be !!!

Please keep sending comments every one counts

thanks

I sent mine and I hope that they help. If you want help with what to push in the meetings feel free to call. I will do what I can.
