I FINALLY had fawns today, JULY 30, a buck and doe out of a first time mother. Just when i was starting to lose hope and thinking the day would never come, here they are. It rained all day yesterday and into the night, they always seem to have them on a rainy day, so i felt confident checking the pens today. Good luck DC, I hope you dont have to much longer to wait.

Good deal,Best of luck with them,it will be close weaning them to get in shape less you wean at 8 ,9 weeks. 10 real close, i most likely gonna have to do all. will be long summer, BOL Dc

Just hoe doe update, NOTHING!! ZILCH!! i think this why i started AI SUCKS, way back. But i know it just beginners luck. BUT what are the chances of 2 yr old backup breeding over and over one three or four times, 4 adult.one big fawn. so we actually got a mid sept date on one still pending, so ATYPICAL looks like you guess may be right.none others live bred,so i hope this last date dont either! i hope you win! i dont want a sept fawn. long story short, i sold him Yesterday. he was the one that broke antler smoothy off, it finnaly started growin back, he ended up 12 point 6 on each, dont know if he was sterile, something was wrong, anyway i got decent price, so for blutongue got him i saw green ,my looks pretty!! Keith did you want cookie or straw?

2 years ago we had a fawn in September...still had spots in November. The fawn made it just fine and the doe got bred with the others. It worked out ok up here in Minnesota so it should work out ok for you in Oklahoma, DC.

I think we got a winner. A,typical I will realease highwire, Must say was a good guess. my thinking was misleading,i said they looked PG. i sure thought so. but as time went i could see, was my spring foodplots. always nxt. last due date was yesterday. nothing even close.wander how many bucks turn out sterile? Dc

that is rough, I know a little bit about what your going through, only 2 out of my 6 does had fawns this year, both had twins, of which one was born weak and died, but the 2 that did survive were bucks. I really honestly believe that my buck was sterile too, i think the only reason i have fawns is because of the one button buck i didnt move out in time last year, now im glad i didnt get him moved. I am not going to spend the time or money to get them DNA'd, they are just going to be shooters anyway, but it would be cool to know who the dad was. I didnt take a chance this year though, that buck is out already and a new buck is in.

Thanks Antlershed and Ike,not so bad i just doin this as my hobby and stress relief, way economy is i cutting back anyway.done sold buck and his mom. Im, just Gonna piddle and learn AI.and hopefully i can raise few BIG typicals, I goin to Ai class oct 10. so i really looking foward to just enjoying My backyard Pets, DC
