Hey guys, I have a dilema that I need you all to help settle for me. I have been raising piebalds for about 6 years now. I have done pretty well with them and have grown some real dandy's.

I had a guy call me from Oklahoma the other day, claiming to have a 2 yr old piebald that scores over 300". he was curious as to what the deer would be worth. He said that he knew nothing about computers and had never used deerfarmer.com. I suggested that he send me a picture of the deer, and I would post a thread and find out what others thought about the topic.

My opinion, He is a nice buck, especially for a 2 yr old, but I feel only scores around 190" - 200" at the most. Technically he does qualify to be a piebald, but not what I would call a true piebald. He has a little bit of white low on his sides..both sides are the same. I suggested waiting to see if he produces any piebald fawns this spring, and perhaps that would help decide.

What do you guys think ??

Hey Jack ...How are you ...Good I hope!

I would be interested in seeing the color of his eyes better...Not that that is a definite, but it may help.

Hey Billie Jo, things are good here, hope they are well with you. I am pretty sure he just has normal brown eyes. The guy didn't say anything was special other than the white spots low on the sides. The guy said that this bucks mother has produced a couple other fawns that have small white spots similar to this buck. Other than that, he knew nothing of any piebald genetics in the bloodlines.

I'd say 220 tops. To me , he dosen't look like a two year old. Pictures are never as good as seeing in person, but you would have one heck of a time convincing me that he's only two years old. From antlers to the body, nothing looks like a two year old. Could be wrong though??

Piebald ??? no idea !!!
