Hi. As I'm the only deer farmer in Montana I would think you have a wild fawn that has broken legs from your post. If that is the case splint them. If the bones are sticking out it would be more humane to put it down. Either way you would need to control the fly's as they are bad in Montana and the maggots will eat it alive. As you probley know our FW&P would just put it down if you contact them. I have casted and splinted many of our fawns over the 40 years we have done this.
