Looking for help !!!

Hi Everyone

We have a 3 1/2 week old buck fawn ( Our First ) being raised by its mother. He was 11 pounds when born. I noticed he had diahrea, I was able to catch him yesterday and get some meds into him. Went in the pen today to get a second dose into him and there is no way to catch him now. Is he to young to dart or what would you do to get meds into him if needed. He has grown to 24 pounds in 3 1/2 weeks and is a handful already.

He is too young and too small to dart. Make a corner trap and catch him.

I find it easier to catch them at night. Just blind him with the light and net him like a fish.

go in at night w flashlight and use a dip net like you would for fishing, works great.

Yes it does work but be careful if it has an ear tag. The bigger fawns are very strong and will fight the net. I have riped the ear tags right out of the ear when they catch in the netting.

Thanks everyone for your help. I will give the net and the night a try if needed.

As of today he looks very good and I believe the diahrea has let up.

I have fished with some guys I will not allow to net my fish, if he does that is one I wont land.....
