HELP, I am going to be movin fawns in boxes for about a 5 hour trip.can i put some ears of corn in the boxes to keep the fawns busy or is this a bad idea.thanks for any help!

I used a 4'x4'x8' box with a bottom to move five fawns , 3 air holes on the front ( 3") and the back, make sure you use a couple of wood screws to secure the drop gate, try using hay for bedding so if they want to nibble on something..there it is

THANKS STEVE AND CURTIS

In that case, I would pad all the walls with foam and have an oxygen tube connected to them along with feed and water :D Just kidding. We've all got a lot of money invested in our deer and know exactly how you feel. I've moved fawns in boxes over 5 hours before and they had nothing but wood floor. I think if you do anything, then just put a little hay down like Curtis said. Otherwise, don't worry about them, they'll be fine. Best of luck to you as you set out into the deer business. This website has a wealth of knowledge and lots of really good people. So don't ever hesitate to ask a question. This business doens't come with a how to guide, so we have to lean on each other.
