Immediate Action Required: Farmed Cervids Transfer is Still Alive in Senate
Members of the Missouri Senate are still pushing for passage of SB964. This bill aims to transfer control of farmed cervids from the Missouri Department of Conservation to the Missouri Department of Agriculture, this action is supported by the Missouri Whitetail Breeders & Hunting Ranch Association.
SB964 was perfected on April 23, and is on the Formal Calendar for its third reading. This may happen today. If SB964 passes its third reading, it will head to the House for approval.
Time is of the essence. Please act now to let your Senator know you SUPPORT SB964 and the transfer of farmed cervids from the Department of Conservation to the Department of Agriculture.

At this time we only want to contact your State Senator, you will be able to find a telephone number and a link to their email in their contact information on the left side below their picture. Call or email them and tell them you support Senate Bill 964. Below is a draft to help guide you.
Dear Senator (Blank),
As your constituent, I need you to know that I am firmly supportive of SB964 and the transfer of farmed white-tailed deer from the Department of Conservation to the Department of Agriculture.
The farmed cervid industry supports thousands of jobs in rural Missouri, and provides a vital income to many family farms. Animal health and the promotion of agriculture are specialties of the Department of Agriculture, and they are the most appropriate agency for protecting both the livestock and wildlife of our state. Private property rights are also a major concern of my family and my friends.
Please vote YES to SB964.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
(YOUR NAME)
