This is off the subject of deer farming but I'm thinking of getting a crossbow to hunt deer and maybe hogs and was wondering if anybody has one and what's the best one to buy.....

They have some really nice ones so it just depends on what you want just be sure it will take a scope. I have one that was about $200. I don't remeber the brand but it is a 150 lb pull. They shoot so fast inside of 50 yards that you can't see the bolt and they are deadly accurate. I have shot armadillos at 50 yards.

My son has killed several deer over 70 yards with it. He has a 100 yard taget he practices with and he can consistently hit a six inch circle with it.

I say stick with a compound bow.
