Hi,

am feeding 6 fawns, last two very tiny but were doing "ok" but having trouble with watery stool now. I gave some neomycin in their bottle but gave the tiny male the wrong dose (was supposed to go the larger buck fawn) and he got about double what he should have. Now he is shivering and won't eat, belly was hard but got him to pee some more as he is not doing well on his own like the others so now it is softened but still a bit "puffy" but not enough to make me think of bloat.

Will try to get some pedialyte down him next feeding. His sister has same runny bowel issue but I am able to get the "pink" powder mix down her that will bind the stool for a while.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Kimber

Probiotics. The large dose of antibiotics may have completely stripped his gut flora, and you need to re-introduce good bacterias.

Thanks, makes sense. He is doing much better today. He was on heat last night and he liked that. Up and hungry as usual today.
