I would like your opinions in my current situation. Other than making an offer to the other party for half of agreed value, what is my options? Also to clarify, we have three doe's that we are half owners in with a farmer down the road. Any ideas are welcome.

Nice answer as usual coming from you dearjohn.......sometimes it might be best if you just did not give your opinions........personally I think you are best to sell them and split the money.......sounds like the partnership is not going well so to break all ties would be best!

You keep one,He keep's one and the other get's sold. That will only work if ya's can agree who gets which one and which one gets sold. Last resort would be to put them on no reserve and let the market tell you the value of them!!!!

Well i was hoping for something else i guess. Here is my partners pitch. Im to assess a value on each animal or straw of semen. We flip a coin to see who picks first. If i pick first and lets say its a $30,000.00 value, he gets to choose animal/s until the value matches and so on. What is your opinion?

Put them on exchange and then buy the ones you want back. Split all the profots and be done with it. This way you can get what the animal is worth and if you both want the same animal you will find out who wants it more. She might end up being worth more or less than each of you thought.

Virgil; you hit right on, this is the fairest way for all party's involved, especially with a 3rd owner involved, and no one is the black sheep for the way it went.

Dearjohn this will be my last post to you......I threw no stones.....I just commented on your ridiculous post you left on this thread......you wanted to get attention and you succeeded......the only mistake I made was not ignoring you as others do.

Bone Collector,You might try this. Take one animal and say how much you will give then let your partner make a bid untill one of you gets the bid then pay the other partner 1/2 of the bid amount.

Name a price and your partner picks to either sell or buy. No other method works better or me.

The only way to be fair is give a price on each item that you are willing to give or take for that item. Or another way would be to list them on WTE both of you could bid the amount you think that they are worth to you. I would not like the idea of flip a coin to see who get's first pick, no way will you both be happy doing it like that. Just list them on the auction, you never know they may bring more than you both think that they are worth.
