Romney/Ryan 2012

I don't agree.......anyone is the answer compared to what we have now......with the unemployment the way it is and the economy as well......I think it is an easy decision......I understand your concerns with being in the Union and I can respect that......

I am led to look at where Obama has taken us before looking at what the Republicans intend to do. Government has gotten too big and costs too much to maintain. This is before we look at welfare reform and private venturing. I guess we could hit the streets and ask 10,000 welfare recipients how many people their companies employ or where they invest their capital funds. As decent and compassionate citizens we accept the premise of "taking a limb and saving a life". We, considering the options, allow cancer treatments, diabetes and the likes to surgically remove that which is pronounced fatal in our own bodies yet fail to acknowledge that we are all under a suicide watch with a flat line economy. I remind you; recovery comes after the surgery. I ask another question; do we vote mainly based on personal reasons or for the good of the nation. Are we so swept with emotion for our political castings that we ignore our basic, fundamental rights "guaranteed" by our Constitution (that are becoming nothing more that historical wording or supposed propositions)? This election entails MUCH more than the economy and if we do not take the time to understand the underlying attack on our freedoms and national pride and principles, we will never again be able to defend ourselves or this Nation. Everyone owes it to themselves to read the book "Blood of Lambs" by Kamal Saleem, a former terrorist.

Lets get our facts halfway straight. I am a tax accountant and have been for thirty years. First of all dividends are taxed at 20% and not 0. Capital gains from investments are taxed at a minimum of 15%. I have heard more lies about taxes than you can imagine. obama will point blank lie because he knows the average person does not know the difference.

My question is when has someone paid their "fair share". They have access to the same government services as anyone else. The ones not paying their fair share is the nonpayers, which is 50% of the population and growing. How much is enough taxes for a guy that did well, $5 million, 10 miilion, 50 million. When has he paid his fair share. Remember these guys pay 85% of all taxes paid. Everyone, except disabled, should have to pay some taxes even if it is only $10.

This union member will be voting for the republican ticket hands down. Unions need to remember someone else owns the company and that the unions "power or bargaining position" ends the day the company closes its doors. Best way to drive a company broke is let the unions get everything they want. Just ask MI.

Brett has it right. Too many lies tossed around by uneducated and or biased individuals. How taxes on income is handled is one prime example. Fair share is right! When will the dead beat losers and drug addicts start paying their fair share! People need to understand it is the better off people who create jobs. Not the welfare collectors!

In my line Of work we as union workers bring you electricity and the doors won't be closing anytime soon the day the powerhouses close is the day we r all n trouble

It wouldn't bother me a bit if I didn't have my investment dividends taxed to the hilt , I already paid taxes on the money I have earned, I also don't care how much money Mitt Romney or anyone else makes. How do you define what rich means ? How can goverment define what is fair or "social justice". I personally think a progressive tax system stinks. There was a time when we used to admire successes, but that seems to be going by the wayside and we have a become a nation way to soft and class warfare and envy is used by politicians all the time. So yes I like Paul Ryan as a choice for VP. This country is headed off a financial cliff and we need to make some drastic changes soon or we will mirror what is going on with most of the European economies. Their system is a failed model, our ancestors came to America for a reason....... Right ? All the tax increases you could possibly impose wouldn't do squat to balance the budget and eliminate the national debt, there has to be a major overhaul of entitlement programs and spending and there is no other way around it.

That's what the union bosses want you to believe, but that line of thinking is simply what keeps the unions in power. With all due respect, there would likely be a line of scabs waiting to take your job for a little less money and similar benefits. I don't mean that against you personally as I have respect for you and every other person who works for their living, but give yourself a little more credit than that- you don't NEED that union to be good at what you do and make a fair wage doing it. Your situation is a bit different as you're apparently in the public utility sector (which is almost another animal entirely), but what happens if the government takes all the incentive away from "the 1%" to do business (ie. their ability to make a profit)? They will take their billions and move to Tahiti. Then what? The government has to take over industry, and without the tax dollars from the "rich". How's that working out for the USPS? We need the government to get out of the way of the people who are good at what they do.

Brett hits the nail on the head, most of the general public doesn't have a clue what a high income person pays in taxes. They think they use loop holes and get off tax free even when they read that the high incomers pay 85% of the tax in this country. Her is simple math on what happens lets say you earn 1.5 million your net income will be about 1 million then you invest the 1 million and pay capital gains of 15% or $150,00 so now you have paid $650,000. And got double taxed on that 1.5 mil you made. Then if you die and want to pass it on to your kids they get taxed again if your estate is large enough. That is being taxed 3 times. I know of people who had to sell what their parents left them to pay the taxes on it. When is enough / enough. If everybody paid something even the entitlement free loaders we could start to dig ourselves out of this mess. And if your are a free loader and non contributor it wouldn't Hurt my feelings if you couldn't vote. How about showing a copy of your tax returns & photo ID to vote. Then the people who pay for everything in this country would have the say so in controlling it. I'm not including retired people here just those that are able to work but are to lazy to get off their lazy A$$. They would rather sit on the porch & wait for the free hand outs I send them every month with the taxes I pay. Then they take their welfare & food stamps and sell them for 50 cent on the dollar for smoke & beer.. And let's not forget about our goverment run mail system that looses 25 million dollars a day. And now they've found where the IRS has sent thousands of refund checks to the same address to people using work ID numbers & not social security. The total has run into billions. I have gotta go my blood boils. There is no hope or change if this guys stays in office. The three stooges could do better!

I have met Paul Ryan on 2 seprate occasions at the DC fly -in.The first time he was the chair of the Sportsman Caucasus which is compiled of non- partisn politicians who like to hunt.He is married to Dan Borens cousin.Dan is a congressman from Oklahoma he was instrumential in creating the Oklahoma State Deer Farming Program.Dan is a member of Whitetails of Oklahoma.Paul and Dan hunt in Oklahoma they are on the same page.Paul is good people there is no person better for us as deer farmers than anyone else in the country. He knows who we are and aware of what we do.He is an awesome choice and when Romni is elected he will squell gov. regulations that stiffle small business like deer farming.

Well it's good to see people fired up.....hopefully the majority of Americans will feel the same as we do........I too agree if you don't work your voting priveledges should be revoked........this is the one thing Obama and his trolls are banking on...the votes from all the illegals as well as the others taking every handout they can......we need this administration out!

Many years ago on one of the DC trips We met with Paul Ryan as one of the Wis. representatives. He left a favorable impression with us and Skip's comments are right on.

Paul Ryan is what we need. Someone who will tell the truth and has some common sense! They want to argue about his plan but the white house has never had a plan. I hope Biden keeps talking, he is showing how dumb he really is. Can you imagine what trouble we would be in if he had to take over as president.
