I think that is the look most hunters love. Just enough extras with nice typical frame.

Here's Rolling Timber, he shed at the end of Jan.

Nice Shed Todd,

This shed (Marsh Milbo twin brother) dropped a few weeks ago and was given to one of our wounded heros. We are so blessed by those who serve.

Scott-thanks for being so generous! Out of 19 adult bucks I still had 3 with antlers when I ran them through for my second TB/Bruc test. Little disappointed they aren't all off; I sawed the last of them today so the follow-up test on Friday will be a little less "exciting"!

Phillip I learned of drug we darted our late dropping bucks last year. After giving each buck shot within 12 days they all lost antlers. It was easy giving this man the antlers the hard holding back the tears. If I can help with treatment please call.

Scott,

Did the drug have any impact on antler size/growth in fall?

We gave a buck a drug to help him lose them last year and felt it may have impacted his growth. We're not giving it to him this year to compare. He probably won't drop his until mid April.

Word on the street has it that one of these "drugs" should not be administered after Feb. 1 st to avoid any problems! Not sure if there is more than one type of "drug' or not!

Just my 2 cents

I'm definitely interested in this drug, but probably won't worry too much about it this year. I only have the two that are hanging on to the stubs left after yesterday, and my bet is that the stress of putting them through the chute and again on Friday will really help them drop. I will keep it in mind, though!

Phillip,

Drugs aren't good for deer the same as people. Each animal will act differently when administering drugs, especially when it is not necessary. Dropping the antlers naturally is best for the animal. When its time, its time.

Mick,

Just said I'd consider it later. Talk to Applecreek Scott (Follett) if you want to make a statement.

Phillip,

I was not looking for an argument by any means, I was just stating my opinion and that we let our deer drop their antlers naturally. We feel this is the best way for us. It's only mid March and we still have a few bucks with antlers on their heads, and when they drop, they drop.

Have a nice day.

Thanks.

Mick

Mick, that would be my preference, as well. I have had deer go into the middle of May before dropping-trust me, this isn't good for your marketing if you plan to sell a shooter that year.
