Skinny buck with arched back

One of my three year old bucks is very thin with an arched back. He has had the arched back for four months and has been thin for over a year. His last rack was smaller than the year before. I gave him 5cc of nuflor three months ago along with 4cc of ivermectin and a week later I gave 5cc of LA 200. No change. He eats ok and does not have the runs. What should I try for him?

Have you ever given him any Thiamine injections? How about other types of nutrients or probiotics? I don't know why he would have the arched back, but perhaps others will know better.

Does your deer show any signs of pain? Grinding teeth? Walking with a stiff gait, etc.?

No signs of pain or teeth grinding. I have not given him any Thiamine injections. What does Thiamine do? Also, no other nutrients or probiotics. He is a pen with other deer that look normal and is eating the same feed program I have used or years and he is the only one that looks thin.

I have some probiotics to give him the next time I have him down to give him what ever you all think I should try. Thiamine? or anything else?

He may have injured his back or something but since he has been thin for a while before this its probly not the problem. I had a deer do this and it was caused by eating the plastic wrapping off a round bail of alf alfa. He to lost weight and had a hunched back and evantialy died. He was pooping little tiny pellets as well from the plastic plugging his sistem up. Hope this is not the case cause if it is there is not much you can do other than surgery.

why did u wait so long to post ???? u have here the most awsome site with some of the or the best of the pros in the buinss, ( FOR FREE ) THAT JUST WANT TO HELP .

Thank you crocket. I waited to see if the treatents I gave him would work. After no signs of improvement I now turn to the best pros in the business for help.

I farm small alfalfa bails and pull the twine off each bail for recycling so it should not be the problem, I hope.

Any info on Thiamine or any thing else it could be?

Any kinda plastic if digested can be a problem. Old darts or plastic of any sort. If you can't find the problem and he dies cut into him and do an atopsy or send him somewere. This way you will know for sure of the cause. Post some pictures maybe some more will respond with helpful advice.
