So Much to offer

Hi everyone

I just had to let everyone know this business has so much to offer. I don't think I have ever experienced the highs and lows like I have in this industry. My wife and I bought our first deer last Nov. our first buck was bought in Dec. with extremely high hopes. After getting him through winter with some tough times he began to show some promise as a one year old. He was a GD Romeo son. While out of town working last Tuesday evening my wife called me in a state of panic and tears to let me know the buck had just crashed the fence and broke his neck. This was the buck of my dreams, gone and everything I had planned on had just been taken away from me in the blink of an eye. But then on Friday evening I picked up a Drifter Doe fawn. our first bottle baby. The joy she brings us is unbelievable. I have never seen a business where a family can go from tears of pain to tears of joy in such a short period of time. Thank you to everyone in this industry.

Sorry to hear about your buck, but as you're learning, that's part of the business. The other part of the business is these things reproduce pretty damn good and you can always buy more :)

Joe,

As we discussed I will do all I can to help you this fall. His brother is looking good and may be able to help ease some of the pain. Like Steve said, it comes with the territory, but that's not an easy pill to swallow when it happens so early in your deer farming experience.

You know that I'm here to help anyway that I can. Keep me posted and congrats on the new addition!

All the best to you.

Mike
