Wondering if anyone adds soy bean oil to the feed this time of year for extra fat content because of body weight loss due to a hard rut any comments are appreciated thanks

We use Soy oil year round as well and have also used Cherry flavored Corn Oil and the Deer LOVE the smell an taste of it.

I use soy oil most of the year......it gels up and does not like to pour in this weather. This is what a few of us are using to mix feed or add ingredients. The kOBALT cement mixer works great for small batches.

My local feed mill has it bulk, I take my own container, and they fill it. It is priced by the lb. I think it was $0.70 per lb.

The soy oil we get is the raw extruded oil. I take a 200-300 gal tote on the back of my truck and get a bit every few months. This oil is in raw form. It does seperate a bit over time. We use a Gramin mixer.

If you have "fines" in the bottom of your feed bunks soy oil will help them clean it up and it helps the feed from getin dry and boring !!

Just like butter on your popcorn !!!Charlie.
