I believe some of the state fundraisers need some work.I bought a donated AI class at the michigan fundraiser with no set date on it to be used well i call this year to get signed up and they say they are not doing classes any more!!Kinda sucks for me but i did talk to scott and he invited me down to watch them and learn some stuff so that was kinda good but not the same. They did try to help anyway. Now i bought 2 straws,2 gates and choice fawn at the kentucky fundraiser.Well i recieved the straws but now cant get any answers on the gates or the fawn.I did speak to some people and they tell me they dont even Know who donated the gates and i spoke to the farmer that donated the fawn at nadefa and now i get no replies from emails sent or phone messages left.Kinda leaving a bad taste here and i think it will be the end of the support from this farm.on any fundraisers!!!On a good note i did donate and made purchases from the pa fundraiser and all went well!!!Anybody else having some of these problems or am i on my own with this one???

Did you call the people in charge of the State fundraising.......and if so, what did they tell you......I know PA makes sure the donations are for real..........If your not getting cooperation from the state org then I will be sure to never deal with their fund raising auctions in the future....but you have to give them a chance to help you first and see how they handle it....if they don't help let us know!!

Mike, I too have had problems with the Michigan fund raiser. I purchased a life time NRA membership, paid for it two years ago and still nothing to show for it. You are right, sure leaves a bad feeling about doing business with them again. I hope yours turns out better than mine.

Can you guys that have trouble with Michigan organizations let me know which one or ones you have trouble with. Thanks.

We paid for an AI class donated by applecreek with no expiration date on it and called to get in and they said they only did it one year.but scott did offer to help me on a personal level so that was nice of him but i really need a class and i bought an AI kit donated by grizzlys and that went fine. Now with kentucky this is a joke they dont even know who donated the gates, thats just crazy. They said they would figure it out, well 5 months and no figure yet and the fawn was donated and i bought it and i even talked to the farmer at nadefa and nobody will return calls or emails. They need to make sure they have what they say and follow through with donaters. We try to help the orgs and we are just starting out so not into this deer thing yet so its been kinda a kick in the butt!!

Good Morning Mike and Angie,

Sorry you missed our AI class last year and the information was not clearly posted for dates on auction. As stated before Apple Creek will set up another AI class for you and if any one else is interested please contact me. I will talk with Todd about ways to solve the problems people have with buying items on state auctions but not getting goods or services. Whitetail Exchange offers all our services Free to state auctions to help deer farming. If Whitetail Exchange handled all the collections and if goods were not transfered they would be posted on the wall of shame. This is what we do 52 weeks per year our customer service can help.

Any other Ideas please post

Scott

Mike and Angie Hope you feel welcome the trip will be worth the effort.

Mike,

I would definitely take Scott up on his offer to come up to Apple Creek for a one on one seminar. You will get so much more out of it this way. He will go above and beyond for you.

Whitetail Exchange offers our services for free to ALL State Associations for their annual benefit auction. If you want more details on this, just give me a call or shoot me an email. There are several different ways we can consign your auction items. One of them will definitely work for your association.

If we list your auctions, we will also help with collecting money and making sure that the items listed are delivered and/or refunded. If your state association is planning a benefit auction for this summer, now is the time to start getting everything ready. Just give us a call and we can let you know what we have to offer.

Todd

Glad to hear everything went well for you at the PA sale! Thanks for the donation Mike and Angie!

I hear and understand the problems with the state auctions.

I was the one in charge of the auction for West Virginia. I personally talked with every donor and created all the ads. I also coresponded by email with all donors to make sure there was a paper trail of the agreements and that everyone was in agreement with the donation and how to advertise the item. Todd Morgan at whitetail exchange offered to collect the money, since the auctions ran AND ENDED on whitetail exchange.

As far as I know, our auctions here in WV were smooth and successful. The only problem we have experienced is that we have some UNPAID bidders for a couple items. That is the shame of this. Guys bid on an item and then want to renig on the payments.

That just simply sucks. Those people should be banned from any and all auctions. If you bid and buy you have to pay. If you buy and your having some unexpected money issues talk to the people involved and get it worked out.

I personally haven't, but I know someone who has sold semen at live auctions. (not internet auctions) For some reason the auctions he sold semen at only collected half the money that day. And now the buyers have not paid the remainder of the money. Sure he still has the semen straws and won't send them without full payment. But then the question is how long should he hold these straws for the buyers? At some point he should no longer have to hold them I think. Otherwise these guys can come back 5 years later and say they want the straws. Maybe the seller cleaned his tank out by then.

Mike and Angie. Call or email me and I will see to it you get your gates and fawns, or you will get your money back. We have had a situation with one donator that wouldn't return calls to get semen transfered. We took steps in private to let him make good on this. If he doesn't make good by our next meeting it will be brought out in front of everyone in our meeting. Let me know soon and I will make every effort to resolve this issue asap. Sorry for your troubles.
