Some friends of mine were planning a trip up to Flees' farm this fall and I was going to make arrangements to go with them , moslty to see a true whitetail legend in person. That won't happen now and I am very sorry for Flees' loss of such a great animal. I did have the privilege of watching him grow throughout the season and he is truly amazing. Thank you Flees family for allowing him to be viewed by all of us this summer. Sudden Impact may have been young , but had nothing else to prove. That is a record that will hold for a long time I'm sure.

Once again , my condolences,

They were the two of the best.

Sam, I'm very sorry to here you lost Bam Bam. He and Sudden Impact were both Incredible deer and I can't believe they are both gone in the same weekend. Best of luck with Timberjack I hope he gets feeling better now that his antlers are removed.

Sam,

My thoughts are with you on the loss of Bam Bam. I'm wondering how we should address our horn removal on large whitetails over 300 inches? Any thoughts as to timing?

Scott

The Flees Family,

We are very sorry to hear the news. When I found out it took my breath away. In life there are many legends Michael Jordon, Muhammad ali, Dale Earnhardt and so on. But in the whitetail world it was Sudden Impact. We are fortunate enough to have a Sudden Impact son and he is the biggest fawn on our farm. Try to keep your heads up. Your family has produced some of the greatest whitetails in the world.

I am sorry to hear about this tragedy. He was a great deer and he helped bring alot of attention to our industry. He will truly be missed but not forgotten. Sudden Impacts "legend" will live on with his sons.

I was re reading the thread and noticed that Bam Bam died too?? Is this true? If so Sam my apologies for not telling you I'm sorry for your loss as well.......man two awesome bucks gone hang in their Sam!!

Myself, and many others included, will most likely never own a whitetail the caliber of Sudden Impact -or- Bam Bam. The sickness we feel at the loss of these deer is hard to describe. It's like a dream has been taken away. I can only begin to imagine the shock and grief that is going through the owners minds at this time. This last weekend will be one that is never forgotten in the Deer Industry. To all those involved with these two Magnificant animals, my thoughts are with you. Allen

Terrible news ...

Sorry for your loss. I doubt we will ever see another Sudden Impact in the industry, he was truely an amazing deer !!!

Greg, so sorry to hear about Sudden Impact. It was so great to hear that he was the new world record, and then so sad to hear 3 days later that he died. I feel honored that I was able to see him twice in person. What a beautiful animal. You have shown us what is possible in this industry. Please extend mine and Carolyn's sympathy to Carol and Shorty.

Thank you to all who posted, emailed us or called us in recent days in regards to Sudden Impact. It really has been amazing the response we have had from fellow deer farmers as well as the whitetail enthusiasts who enjoyed watching him grow this summer.

Greg,

After visiting WW a couple of years ago and seeing your operation, I know you guys did everything you could to keep Sudden Impact alive. Your loss is felt across the industry and I hope you can find some solice in the knowledge that the breeding stratagies at WW produced what has truly become a legend in the deer farming industry.
