Watch' em Grow (Bucks 2010)

We'll have to get some pics of a two year old HyJax son we have. He broke a tine and we had to put him down to clean it up - make sure the flies didn't get into it etc. Gary measured him and counting the 4" he broke off he scored 365" - WOW! Kind of a crazy rack but we think he has a chance to hit 400" at 2. It was dark out when he was down so didn't get pics, but will try over the next couple of days.

How many sons do you have out of Hyjax? I have a yearling out of him this year out of a Rolex daughter that is starting to show some real potential.

Since Simonson Whitetails can not take photo's of Simply Amazing correctly, we are needing someone qualified to take pictures of a nice looking typical buck. Please send refs, time schedules and price needed to cover all expenses! Thanks for your help and looking forward to do business with you! Note to everyone posting pictures DO NOT HAVE YOUR DEER LAYING OR STANDING ON DIRT! This, I did not know and I do not care!!!!!!!!! My deer are taken very good care of and feel free to visit any time just call in advance! Have a great day Simonson

This is Y10@3. I do not know for sure how big this deer is right now, or where he will finish....but....he is the showstopper on our farm this year for me. We have been blessed to have many good deer on our farm this year but he is standout in my eyes. His G2's are in the 14in+ range right now and growing strong.

The last of three pics is not the best shot but gives a idea of his frame.

Any suggestions on a name for him would be great...And may result in a free straw:)

One last note' SAM JAMES YOU HAVE HIS MOM':p

Chad, I love the frame and mass of that deer, congrats. Your right, he is packin it!

For a name: I searched your town and county, and come up on a article about "Little Dixie". Kinda seems wierd but here is a quote from the article "Robert M. Crisler suggests Little Dixie's boundaries are dynamic and thus impossible to define."

So how about'.......Little Dixie

Edgemoor Ponderosa and Rampage....looking for ohio buyers.

Jason, he is sired by Larmax, a 220'' typical at age 3 that we owned. Larmax has been the strongest producer on our farm to date, He was sired by Larry and a Max doe that came from Curts farm. The larry line is the best producing line of big typical deer that I can think of. Crossing it with a Max doe did nothing but make for excellent production. The bottom side goes back to Eddie Ray's Thunder.

Reed, like the name, love the quote' It would have to be BIG DIXIE though..lol.

Roger, you may have nailed it:D

I was breeding with the Larry bloodline when he was two years old. I had bought a daughter of him out of his Max doe! My buddy had lil Larry's twin. Butch mcgrew had a big yearling. I Bought another son later on . The have no immunity to Ehd as they all died within the first year at other farms. I love his look and passdown but will not use any of his offspring in my program. Maybe you should name him lucky!:D

Jason, sorry to hear that. We have had blessed to have few small bouts with ehd on our farm. We spray heavy for the midges. That being said Y10 and several other Larmax son's have went through many ehd seasons without any trouble and have never been Ehd vaccinated. We also owned a full brother to Lil 'Larry. His name was Brady, and he never had any problems with ehd at all.

A huge list of deer farms like Couger Ridge, Ropp's Whitetails, Blosser Whitetails just to name a few use Larry genetics. I am sorry they have not worked out for you.

Heath Walk may chime in, but Buck Jones down in Duncan Oklahoma lives in a EHD/BT hotbed, and has Lobo, which is a son of Larry, and produced Rambo which Heath now ownes. He has several Larry grandsons down here, and has pretty good luck. Lobo did have a case of BT, and made it through it.

I have a yearling Larry son that is a 6x6 so far and looking good. I hope he has some bred in resistance.
