What breeder bucks are passing on genetics???

R

I was wondering what bucks are passing on genetics for putting on width, tine length, and mass??? I know Glen Dice bucks are passing on width. What other bucks are passing on other genetics???

I agree Xl in my opinion is the best right now!! Also powerball is throwing long tines and mass with width, King pin , rolex also come to mind, I know I missed a few for sure, And how bout them texas tea yearlings! he keeps throwing them like that he will be hard to beat!!

I think Texas Tea is on pace to be one of the greatest reproducers out there.....he certainly is starting out with a bang!

Yes Texas tea yearlings are looking good... Just look at Jumbo!!!

Boss Man(new images biggest son) is producing huge sons. Hit Man is out of Boss Man and has an awesome frame with long long tines. I was just over to Welsh Mountain Whitetails not to long ago and I was blown away at what that line is doing. Was nice to see a stacked, well thought out, pedigree do exactly what it's suppose to do, produce!

Thanks for the statistics Dan. I think that is very important in deciding what to breed with. We tend to look to much at the buck and not the offspring. Those are good stats. I wish all breeders would publish their stats.

So what bucks are putting down 200" at 2 years constantly??? Why isnt anybody saying Bucky Jr who is constantly putting on width and Maxbo Ranger and Danger I cont know I like HYPE Bucks!!!

I agree with Maxbo XL definitely getting it done i.e. Interpreter one of the widest deer ever if not widest and not to mention to many others to even wrap your brain around. Texas Tea is also very impressive with his offspring. Shadow has made our most impressive bucks so far in our farms young history. Bucky is a classic, probably created more known bucks for the Flees' then any other. Sudden Impact, Reggie and Bucky Jr. are other pure flees bucks that can definitely get the job done, And Cardiac Kid will most likely join that group. Slick is throwing big stuff. Ranger has definitely proven himself, may not get as many inches with him but definitely big pretty frames. Free Agent will make something huge every time. Express seems to be throwing nice yearlings waiting to see what they do by ages 2 and 3. And there's no way you can talk about bucks consistently producing without talking about Maxbo Himself who is responsible for probably more breeder offspring than any other buck, and bucks that get the job done none-the-less (Danger, Hardcore, Ranger, XL, Slick...). Rolex also has made a numerous amount of huge beautiful bucks. X Factor has some nice yearlings and 2 year olds out there. There is definitely other bucks out there that will also get it done...

Be hard to argue Gladiator.

Maxbo XL would probably be the greatest sire ever if he hadn't died so young and his breedings weren't so limited.

I have said it and I'll say it again I think Grizzly is one of the most under rated sires out there. Just as dan has posted his stats. He just flat out produces.

this is ALL good , nice bucks who started this . WHAT ABOUT THE DOES !!!!! WHAT POWER DOE GAVE US THEISE GEAT BUCKS ??? GEE AINT THE DOE 75 % OF THE OFF SPRING ????? I WANT TO KNOW (WHERE ) THEY ARE , OUTHER THEN THAT DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHO GOT US STARED AND BY WHO ! SOMEONE HAD TO GET A WILD DEER AND START THIS ,:)

None of the Bucks will produce with out the POWER OF THAT Right Doe. Crocket you or

so right I thought every one was going to miss it.. if you have the right doe that big supper buck will come. I think that is why some if use never make it to get that buck we are looking for you just don't have the doe to produce that buck. You cannot and will not get it with just that straw of Maxbo or Rolex without that Right Doe. A good doe will Produce what is on your breeder bucks head and when most of you buy that straw of semen that is why you buy it for what is no it's head. just my 2 cents

Joe and Crocket you both are exactly right! Does are so much more important!!!!!!!! You can't just throw great semen into a brown doe and think you'll get a Great Buck. I have two does that no matter what they are bred to...They always put their look (genetics) on the ground. But you have to keep does 4 to 5 yrs to know that. Just My Opinion as always.

You can put XL in anything and make giant bucks, thats why he is amazing.

Does anyone know of any bad XL sons? How about bad XL girls?

It can't be that every straw went into perfect does?

Maxbo Extreme, especially his daughters, i know he is not statistically the best of all time, but he is the best producer i personally seen for myself. I have two breeder bucks thanks to two different direct maxbo extreme daughters

I agree that the doe is important. But to say that they are more important than the buck... well, I have a little different experience than that.

There are certainly sires that can be extremely dominant in their genetic pass down traits. I know he's my buck, so some people may see this as a promotional attempt, but if you look at the very wide range of does that Texas Tea was bred to you will quickly see that he is passing down his traits in nearly all of the lines that he was bred to. That's not a coincidence. And he wasn't bred to the "top doe's" by any means. He is simply a very dominant sire that will lead to very predictable results... isn't that what we all want?

Just my .02 cents on the matter.

Thanks,

Mike
