As stated by Dr. Shipley, clover, alfalfa and dandelion greens. I've been giving clover, dandelion greens and leaves from raspberry bushes. Those are the things that she nibbles on when we walk in the evenings. I make sure to always have some on hand for her and she seems to be doing really well with them. If you Google greens for deer or something along those lines, there are extensive lists. I plan on adding in more as she ages and I learn what plants, flowers and weeds are what.
She will show you what she likes best. My Rosa just loves dandelion leaves... She likes them more than any lettuces that I have fed to her... unreal. I think they like "bitter" and also "sweet" flavors. They don't seem to like bland tasting stuff too much. Rosa also doesn't really like store-bought cucumbers or zucchinis, but she loves the stuff from the garden... Deer are smart.
oh yeah... and she loves Animal crackers (Stouffer's) from Walmart. Toast with peanut butter, etc. I give her these snacks from time to time so that if need be, I can occasionally de-worm her orally via her snacks.
Violet Fawn - Trim some branches off a mulberry or an elm tree to add to your ''green regiment''. They LOVE the leaves off those trees, especially the mulberry.
A leaf they might like even better are the leaves off wild grape vines.
Thanks for the input everyone! I figured that she would show me what she likes as she has done so far. I got a little nervous about giving her plants that I wasn't educated about just in case it was aowmthing that isn't good for her. I definitely agree that it's best for her to have a little of everything. Thanks again!
