Thats great newz roger!!!You know you have to drop everything and take care of her!!!We only have one mom and we must return all the great things that they have done for us!!!Unconditionally!!!!!

Boy Roger you sure have had a lot going on lately! Very sorry to hear about your Mom as well as the deer. I'll be thinking about all of you and wish your Mom a healthy recovery.

I hope your mom makes a full recovery. We all know how the older people get the tougher it is for them to recover so we will have to pray for her.

Roger glad to hear all went well with your Mom. Renee and I have you and your family in our prayers. Best of Luck

I realize there are many people wondering how Updraft is doing this year and they are wondering if he is alive. I also am wondering how he is doing. I have not seen him myself since June 9th. I am anxious to see him as soon as I get home. I can tell you he is alive and well, and when I saw him last he was slightly ahead of where he was at the same time last year.

Thanks to everyone who is calling and emailing wanting updates on him.

:)

Roger, We're praying and know that you have been doing the same for your Mom. "Get well soon!" Ol' Scrape.

Hey Rog, I saw a picture of Updraft taken last Thursday. He looks VERY IMPRESSIVE. Hope he can finish it out for you guys. Chat at you later. mp

Thanks Ol' Scrape. Mom is doing better and is going through rehab for her injury. Her spirit is a little low but she will get through this. I can't wait to give her a big hug when I get back home.

Well Michael, then you have seen more than I have seen. I am glad to hear he is looking impressive so far. I know Updraft grew the most between about Aug 1st and Aug 21st last year so it will be fun to watch him finish out.

:)

Rog, sorry to hear about your Mom. My mom fell and broke her arm a couple of years ago, but luckily didn't require surgery. Like Jack said, falls just seem to come with age for some reason. She recovered very well but the older you are the longer it takes. It is sometimes hard to realize that our parents are getting older and just can't handle everything the way they once did. Mine are in their early 80's and I've really seen a big change from even 5 years ago.

I know many like to see the bucks even though they are not done growing. I also like looking at bucks, but like seeing them when they are done.

However I know some start to wonder if a deer is sick or injured if they never see a picture so here is one I took today to prove Updraft is still alive and well and obviously getting bigger this year as well.

I am also attaching a picture of Updraft from about the same angle so you can compare last year on June 28th and this year on June 25th.

Thanks for looking and have a great day:)

A lot more inches than last year thats for sure......lets hope he keeps pooring it on......beautiful buck Rodger!!

Roger, hope you took my advice and gave your wife a BIG OL KISS.... She did a great job while you were away. Congrats on UPDRAFT... he is a stud and we are very proud to have one of the first sons out of him. Hope he can follow in his ol'man's hoof steps...lol

Roger,Updraft is incredible!!! Thanks for posting the pics. Good luck with him.

Thanks much everyone.

I am very happy with how he is growing out. I just can't believe he was somehow able to grow even more mass and now he is adding more mainframe points as well. Everyone I have spoke with who got fawns out of him says their fawns are huge as well. If he is passing that massive body on I assume he will pass along those antlers as well.

Is it fall yet??? I just can't wait to breed and then get fawns out of Izzy who is Updraft full sister but 2 years younger:)

It seems we just wish our lives away;)

Here is our big boy on July 23rd 2010. Updraft of course has lots of growing left in him yet. I can't believe how massive his body is as well as his antlers. His fawns all have big bodies as well. If his body was more normal sized his antlers would seem even bigger I suspect.

Below is a 2 year old son of Max Thrust. Max Thrust was a Maxbo/Butkus/Magnum/Louie son we produced here and he scored 262" at age 3 last year. We have since sold ownership of Max Thrust to Adam Rowland in MN. Adam will be taking Max Thrust home later this fall.

This 2 year old son last year scored 155" at one and looks to be well past this this year at age 2. He also is not done growing but I got some pics and decided to share them with everyone.

We are considering offering this young buck for sale as a breeder if anyone wants to contact us for more information.

Contrail at age 2.

If anyone has any questions about our expected lots in the coming sales or about availability of animals or semen off the farm please give us a call.

Please note that the pictures used of Updraft were taken early and he is indeed still growing!

As always, thanks for looking:)

Here are some pics taken Aug 18 2010. He is getting close to being done but still is growing on some of the tips.

A couple of locals who I trust in their ability to score deer on the hoof were here last night. One of them estimates Updraft at 302" and the other estimates him at 310"

Please take note that these scores are purely estimates.

Thanks for looking!:)

I have been trying to figure out why when I take pics of Updraft they look so crappy compared to seeing him in person. I decided to try not zooming in so much and see if that helps. I don't think it really helped much, but here are some pics I took today.

As always I thank you all for looking:)
