Brutis belongs to Tom Baker,a good friend of mine. He is still going good at seven. I have one pied doe out of him. He is ZEB's sire. Thanks for asking. Allen

wow brutis has a beautiful rack, Allen, your white bucks in your first pic both look good. how old is the one standing by Zeb, he looks like a yearling.

The buck standing beside ZEB is two years old. He has the same white mother as Zeb but his sire was an average brown buck. Zeb is a pretty big boy. Thanks, Allen

Ole Zeb came through again. Twin bucks, one white and one pied. We are bottle feeding .We bred five brown does to Zeb this season and got five white and five pied fawns. The last two years out of eighteen fawns SEVENTEEN have been white or pied. We are proud to own him. Semen is scheduled to be drawn around Oct. 15th.

Wow, that is great, they are great looking little guys. Best of luck with the bottlefeeding!

Beautiful pics all of you! Thanks for sharing, love to see that colour. I wrote a major article for Deer Tracking Magazine last fall called Whitetail Wonders (with photo help from the Harold at Deer Ranch, Mitch, Nolls Whitetails, Shadow Valley Deer Farm, Harvest Acre Whitetails and Wild Rivers, and Blue Mountain.)

Would like to do a follow-up type article that could show off some of these beauties...any suggestions on where I can go on this? Genetics? Marketing issues? Love the colours...sure could do with some more promotion! Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Tara <<

Allen- Zeb is a very good looking buck. How old is he, did you ever score him?

Tera-Lynn- Another article about Pieds & Whites would be good, any topic would be good. Let me know so I can get an ad in the issue.

A white yearling we have this year

HAB, Zeb is three, last year he was at 130", but he should blow that score away this year. Thank you for your intrest. Allen

Congrats... Allen they look great!

The one looks more like a Senneca White... Does he have that in him also? I can't tell his eye color...

Billie jo, both of the newest have dark eyes. Zeb has dark eyes, but one white and two pieds born this year have blue eyes, the rest being dark. It is my understanding that the Senneca strain has dark eyes. Is this correct? Thanks, Allen

I have a seneca that has blue eyes. Maybe she is just weird. Her mother is a seneca and when I bred her to Patch she had a cream fawn with blue eyes.

Tara, I have a suggestion for a follow up. It seems that I have had trouble getting many hunting preserves to acknowlegde the added value of a trophy piebald over an average brown buck that scores the same. Many farmers and preserve owners refuse to acknowledge the rarity of these animals. Many of us that have started specializing in piebalds have gained alot of recognition lately. We have a long way to go yet, but we have broken ground and gained strength. We have proven that piebalds can be grown into trophy proportions.
