Who is your best producing doe (or does) out of?

What have they produced, and why do you consider them your best?

What qualifies a doe to be considered a superdoe?

This does not have to be limited to your deer, it can be one that someone else owns.

The biggest typical frame producing doe ever has to be Patrick 111. On almost every farm that has a buck with Patrick 111 in the gene tree he will be the largest frame on the farm and in combination with a huge variety of bloodlines. Just to name a few examples :Flees Big Show, Banjo, Dude, Robo this years largest panel scored 3year old typical, Thunderstorm,Allstar, Thunderstrike and many more

Great question Zane, Will be interesting to see what folks say?

For me so far hands down my "Best" Doe is my First bottle fed based on what she has put on the ground is a John David(Maxbo son)/Thunder/Hurricane Sister has only had 5 daughters(3 i still own) and 3  2yr old sons that have all been over 230" and her 2 yr old this year may be her BEST yet ? has a yearling that looks like all her other sons and her and her Daughters or Sons have NEVER been sick a day in there lives. Her Daughters all have yearlings or buck fawns on the ground so we will see what they do?

I personally have a Daughter out of every doe I own and won't sell any of them till I can see what there 1st sons look like " Super Doe" is a term loosely used in my opinion usually  based more on a "HYPED" Pedigree than by what she has produced I also don't think one son qaulifies her either?

I do like Rolex does for some of the sons they have produced as well as HighRoller daughters and my Texas Tea/Rolex doe is giving me "goose bumps" with what she "MIGHT" do! LOL

Just my Opinion!

Bell, I agree that is a very strong line for sure!

I have a Sundowner/Complexes mom who we bred to Lil Bear this year and got a Buck and a Doe out of I hope live a long life to breed back to some of those above mentioned Sires!lol

There are so many super does out there that consistently produce breeder quality bucks, a few of my favorites are wilmer martins red 16. deseree  flees peebles and kristie, walks red 8 and her daughter kali,  gd romeos womb sister, soooo many more ! now I think we all have a doe or 2 on our farms we think are super producers, my favorite right now on my farm is a gd romeo daughter we call lovey she is the mother of womb brothers freak and caveman  both well over 200 at 2, and a climax son that looks like he will be well over 200 at 2,  all 3 sons are framey and wide, Her anchor is romeos womb sister. she doesn't have a dud yet, so to me she is my best, I do have 2 does that could beat her out in time, one a rolex/loner/ red 16 daughter and the other a big guy /kali/ red 8 doe. Like I said most of us all have a really productive doe that isn't a big name but is getting it done! Great Topic!!

Your Lovely doe , GdRomeo and his sister has Patrick 111 all up in there like swim wear. If you dig into the tree of his dam you'll pick her out. Pretty sure she's in the Red 8 jasper doe you mentioned as well.

Zane,

My best doe so far is a MRW Rigid daughter named Brigid. Her bottom side is Blazer, which goes back to patrick 111. I bred her to MRW Big Heavy (pure flees) and she threw me 2 bucks the first year and the one was about 200 as a yearling. He is two now and is going to be much bigger this year. Too bad my Gladiator semen didn't take at AI time for this year. On a side note, she may have been bred by my Big Rig son which would put Rigid/Rolex on the top and bottom. That first breeding worked so well that I repeated it the next year and she gave me two doe fawns. They are yearlings now I'm thinking of selling one but don't know if I should give her up with full brothers like that! Pic is Red 3 @ 1.

BJ,Savage,Bucky,RDM Goliath,Maxbo,Arty,Timberjack,Loner,Reno,Jack the Ripper, High Roller,Marlin. or any others.

Any Texas Tea daughters with anything yet?

W-8 is by far the best doe I ever hade on my farm. Timberjack/RDM Fireball sons include Highjack 278" with 16" tines Jackson 345" 26

ISS 13" tines Texas Timber 250"@2 looking much better at 3 this year w-8 daughters producing even better then her son in the 330s@2 29"ISS long tines Texas Timber yearlings are looking very good this year to

My best doe are my Thunderstorm doe. I have at least 20. I don't put them in auction and I don't like to sell them. There are things about my breedings and EHD I keep very close to the vest. It is very easy to ruin the type of doe line I am trying to build.

Zane,

What do you mean with the word production?

Clay,

All RDMFireball doe are serious awesome. I would love to get my patties on one here in Indiana. Do you have the Fireball doe in Kentucky?

So Bell are you saying some lines don't handle EHD as others ?

No not directly out of fireball w-8 is out of a fireball doe I got her from Rocky Ridge Whitetails

The fireball doe she is out of is VORTEXES MOTHER Y-62 and she is RDM turbo's full sister

By "Produce" I am talking about the quality of the traits that they pass on. The ones that make these does your best/favorite.

Thanks Clay,

I thought you might have Y-62 in Ky. My antennas were getting up in the air. You have a great foundation doe there.

Wayne,

Sorry,I miss spoke. Sometimes my gums get to flapping.

Bell,

Banjo was out of a Bucky daughter. How old was Banjo in the pic that is on you web page? Do or did you own this Bucky daughter? What can you tell me about her?

Thanks,

The Banjo pedigree was discussed on another old thread. I don't recall which one. I wish that I owned any of the deer in Banjo's background. I own some very closely related that are from the farm in Mo where the majority of the deer in his pedigree came from. Butch Caylor in Iowa made the cross that actually put Banjo on the ground on his farm in Iowa. His mom is a Flees Bucky daughter on a Little Thunder(Joni Beechy Jamesport, Mo) doe. Little Thunder was a brother to Thunderhead purchased by Joni Beechy from Eddie Ray. The bottom side would be a Blazer doe. I don't know her bottom side. She could have been bred up at Joni's or come from Eddie's as well. Blazer was purchased by Joni I believe as well but may have died before he could breed there. Sorry can't recall that detail. Banshee was also purchased and was there for a time and could be in the anchor portion of the Blazer doe. Butch purchased a buck from Joni named Thundercloud. He was a Patrick bred buck. It is from a buck fawn sired by Thundercloud that Banjo was sired per his breeder Butch Caylor. Banjo is at least a 3/4 Patrick offspring it appears. Coby and Jerri Lee bought out almost all of Butch's herd. I am certain they also have genetics closely related to Banjo. Michael Heiter, the guy who owns Texas Tea had purchased Banjo's dam from Scott and Gene but she died of capture myopathy shortly after she was unloaded at his farm in Pa. I only have three DNA'd offspring from Banjo two bucks and a doe. Sorry our website is shameful it is in dire need of an update and makeover. Banjo is 2 years old in the pic on our site.

Since it's Friday the 13th and a full moon a combination that won't happen again for 50 years. I want to say it ticks me off that Banjo's DNA is divided between Wildlife Genetics and DNA solutions. I think this was done with intent with the purpose to mislead about the pedigree. It's ridiculous the Little Thunder doe's DNA isn't transferred to DNA solutions. All the AI fawns on the farm and in the pen in which Banjo was conceived were DNA'd per Butch and Banjo does NOT DNA to any of the AI buck fawns including any by White419. The sire of Banjo was one of the other buck fawns in the pen sired by Butch's brood buck Thundercloud. Banjo was conceived in the Bucky doe fawn when she was about 7 or 8 months old.

Hope this is helpful.
