#1 Tool For Fighting EHD!!!

PharmerBrown,

The fogger is a ULV Fogger. Received mine today at 3:00 pm and by 4:00 pm we were fogging pens.

It works very well. As Cody had explained in one of his earlier posts that its best to fog early morning or late evening. Even though we were fogging today, the fog was floating for hundreds of feet. We decided to stop and wait till winds calm down and take Cody's advice and fog in late evening or early morning. So as soon as the sun starts to drop, I will be out fogging everything I can possibly think of to fog.

Also got permission from a neighbor on the lower side of my property, and he welcomed me to fog his woods.

Believe me, if you purchase this fogger, you will not be disappointed.

Less insecticide, more coverage!

Today, as I was home waiting on my fogger to arrive, about 500 feet from my enclosures, I encountered an 8 point wild buck trying to drink out of a puddle on a gas well road with slobber just running out of his mouth. Probably won't make the night. Again, I can't thank Cody enough for all the advice he has given me.

Thanks.

Mick

Mick, Glad to here you like it and now understand just how much better it covers with straight insectide rather a water diluted spray. We really need to thank Wayne Green for his posting it on here in the first place because without reading that post of information and thinking alot about the ratio of insectide when you dilute it and the way it works I would still be loosing deer. Let us know if it slows down the rates of infected animals. Here's a few yearlings that are still alive, knock on wood. Good luck

Eric and Scott, I used the douche bag today on 2 deer and one yesterday. Also, I put the W-80 Blend Whitetail Probiotic in the water that went into the bag. Thought it might be another way of getting some good bacteria into there system a little quicker. Thanks for the advise guys.

This was just on our local news tonight, maybe someone will finally start to pay attention to this disease now. EHD infected cattle. Just think of the number of cattle that get hauled all over the country, cattle going south and going north all the time, thousands of em, 365 days a year. How many of them are carrying the disease from state to state?

Some of us has been saying that from day 1.... I wonder if we had a map of the highways those truckers use to get cattle through and then get a map of the hard hit deer farms and wild herds if they would match up?

I bought one from the pharmacy today for $9 it said Enema/ Duche bag right on the box.

We use a misting system that is on a timer. I have been told night time is the most important time to mist, that is 11 pm, 2am, 5am, and we also mist in the day. We spray any mud holes and around water troughs with a 3 gal sprayer by hand. We check deer 3x day plus. First sign of licking lips, separation or drinking lots they get 3 cc exceed and 2cc dex. We vaccinated with EHD 1 with a booster. The one doe we lost was blue tongue and she laid in an area where we had not noticed our misting nozzles were clogged and there was a mud hole she laid in. We now keep noxzzles checked and mud sprayed.

I am wondering since we vaccinated if they are getting a mild case and our meds given ASAP is helping them survive?? I hope someone can find a cure. Our Mist Away system was worth every penny. George from Texas has been awesome. Plus this forum and everyone's experiences. Thanks to all of you for your help.
