I will stand up from this guy as he probably wont defend himself.  You might realize all ranches are bigger assets to the industry than we can ever realize!  This ranch in particular has bought over $500,000 worth of bucks every year and has for the past 12 years.  These farmers don’t ask for any money until the deer are harvested at the end of the year.  Now that is a reputation of trust that he has built with these guys for 10 years +. I know hunters that keep coming back from 10 years ago, lots of repeat customers also.  After all, the ranches are what keep our industry flowing. It is easy for you to saythey area crooks when he is successful, talking of crooks, I know personally that he has bought deer from over 20 farmers that owe these guys over $150,000 in does and buck semen.  Yes, some auction pay these guys hotels because they know they are an asset to have at the auctions.  Unlike some ranches that grow all their deer and don’t buy from the industry.  To top this off, I know the guys you’re talking about and if you have let them know of the issue, they will do their best to try to resolve it.  They go 120% out of their way spending about $7 million in the last 12 years, this money goes back to the farmers.  But all this down talking them is uncalled for.  Let’s see who they really owe money to.  Put your name and phone number on this thread so that the industry can know what is going on, I will forward it to them.  Just because they know how to market and sell hunts, doesn’t mean they are cheaper, they don’t even show prices on their website. He has mostly corporate hunters and they don’t care what they spend, it’s a tax write off. All of this started due to a $1,500 doe that couldn’t be relocated to his farm due to a state issued quarantine.

Advertised price for 200-210 for 6900.00. And 170-180 for 3900.00 on your site last night. I am calling BS on all of it. If your clients are not worried about money then why do you have to under cut the rest of us.

If you undercut other preserves you undercut the farmer period.people should be getting 5-6k for a 200 buck not selling a hunt for that. That happens one of 2 ways, either you don't give squat for the animal or you steal them. And if he's so great he doesn't need to undercut everybody else. If you believe all producers WANT paid when they are shot I have some swamp land for ya.

Wow that is cheap for hunts! Does it include lodging and meals? Is it three days?? I know we can't do them for that price.

really that's cheap do not let them kid ya 200 inch plus go for 20,000.00 easy maybe a little less but not much T&S

$20,000 is stretching it these days.  There are plenty of places you can hunt a 200 inch deer for $10,000.   Apple Creek sales 200-250inch hunts for $10,000.  200 inch deer are not as rare as they use to be.  But $6,900 is dirt cheap.  The flip side of that coin is he would not be selling hunts for that price if breeders did not sale the bucks to cheap.

yes its 99 today cooling off yesterday 103 but down here in some places it is still close to that price wise you might get one over 200 for 13,500 T&S

First of all here's how shady you sound the post you are referring to was deleted before you were even a member, second off your very first post for this defense you speak of doesn't even hold water. So whom ever you are and who ever it is you speak of in defense tell them they may or may not want to make things right with whoever they may have wronged! OH YEAH AND WHETHER IT'S $1500.00 DOLLARS OR 150,000.00 DOLLARS WRONG IS WRONG! SOMETIMES WE MAKE A BED THATS PRETTY DAMN UNCOMFORTABLE YET WE MUST STILL LAY IN IT!

Pretty easy to sell hunts that cheap when your not paying your supplier for the animals. Wish we all could make money like that life would be a lot easier.

People advertising those super low prices pull the whole industry down. A lot of people are shopping by price alone and will go to the cheapest place. We've had a few who have hunted those places and still have come back to us. They said it wasn't worth it, did not have a good time, or felt they got nickel and dimed to death. It is hard to sell those things though when talking to potential hunters.

Ok this is getting annoying!!! If there is no hunters the prices drop for a hunt and that means lower offers on shooter bucks!!! We are advertising our 200" hunts for $5500 and nobody is beating our door down!!! We are a new preserve and we are advertising like crazy here in western pa...

Ryan your shooting 200 inch deer for 5500?

Why? Trying to build clientele? You must be shooting your own bucks?

Yes trying to build clientele and yes they're our own... We buy our deer as yearlings and pay 1000-1700 and grow them out to 3 and POW!!!

That is why people are selling out in PA. You better be figuring out how to raise your own. Producers can't make it with that kind of pricing.
