Antlervalley, Lets hear more about the Oregano......How much to feed, how often and has anyone else had luck with this....Might be an easy way to pass on to the 2 -3 week old mother raised fawns that you can not catch to give meds to.

I used SULMET and it works well. It is for e-coli and the fawns suck it right down. You can find it at most feed stores. It is a 12.5% solution. Give 2.5cc day one, 1.5cc days 2 and 3 and .5cc on day 4. It is a drying agent, so don't give too much. It can cause constipation.

We also faught the yellow/white creamy stool with our fawns. I had a fawn necropsied last year that I lost from this. My vet told me that my feed was contributing to the problem. He said my feed was too acidic. Too much corn and oats in the mixture and perhaps not enough vegetation in their diet like hay or grass. We have changed our feed this year, and we seem to be having far fewer problems.

Good Luck To You !!

The Sulmet probably works good on bottle raised, but how about the ones left on the mother, how can we get soemthing into them at 2,3,4 weeks old.....I saw the Oregano thing and thought maybe Antlervalley would give us some info. Top dressing with Oregano may work,,,,,
