Had the same thing happen to me last year. My best doe, whose mother is maternal sister to Geronibear's mother, had a large doe fawn by Pine Creek Blazer, on June 3, 2010. Because she just had it, and it was almost dark, I snapped a picture of it and was going to tag it the next day. It was my first fawn of the season and no others were born for five days. Never found a trace of this fawn again. We searched for days. My fences are really good, all gates are padlocked, and I'm double fenced around all of my breeding pens. DNA came back on the rest and she wasn't among them. All I have is the picture.
