Mineral/Top Dress

Paul thanks for posting your pics for me, I appreciate it. Your deer and Steve's deer look good.

Larry, thanks for the info. If you get some time I'd love to see pics of your deer.

I just have 1 more question. Does anyone up here know if either of the owners of C&E or Revive raise deer or not?

Thanks

Deerrut......why don't you contact these people directly to have your questions answered rather than trying to do it on this open forum......just a simple suggestion.......trying to make them look bad on the open forum is not going to solve anything.......I hope you find all the answers your looking for.....

deerrut...............I hope your are putting as much effort in to trying to attend the CWD meetings in our state and or attending the hearing with the consevation dept. on Fri.

Because if not the health of your deer MAY NOT be your biggest concern in the forseeable future!...........Hope you can attend!

Best of Luck

So how does knowing if someone raises deer or not going to make someone look bad?

Kinda is a good question. I bet they are into some kind of animals!!!!

Wasn't that question Mike it was a lot of the previous posts......come on......do you think Larry was a little upset with the way he was being called out.....not a place for that.....that is what a phone is for........

Four Seasons Whitetails, I would agree with you in both points, and Djd Whitetails, there is a measure of propriety in your statement also. Perhaps I can provide a bit of perspective. Speaking only for myself, first, I do not raise whitetail, I work in the ancillary support industry(Independent Consultant)...I'm always asked whether or not I raise deer; the question doesn't offend, as it would give someone a baseline qualifier...a qualifier among many, possibly a primary for some, for others, not. This forum, along with the total livestock industry(lol..yes, I consider deer to be livestock, even if some States don't) contains all types of personalities, along with their own personal bias regarding standards and practices. I've gleaned mountains of useful info here, carried from farm and ranch, to other farms and ranches...Standards and practices vary farm to farm, hence, what works on one place would have little to no demonstrated result on another. This industry, still in it's relative infancy, is moving forward, haltingly at times, pouncing on every shred of research and/or viable info it can gather...Making it all the more interesting is the fact that this industry is one of the few that does business with itself, making the sharing and flow of information even more important. I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to participate. Hopefully, the economic impact and clout of the industry will spur further credible research, and we can discard "throwing things(money) against the wall and see what sticks"....time to go, have livestock to take care of ;-)

Deerrut, my name is Jason Edmondson, I work for Shane Horrocks the owner of c&e and maxrax feed. Shane was born and raised in the wildlife industry. He grew up raising not only whitetails but some of the finest exotics in north america. He has forgot more about deer nutrition and overall animal health than most of us will ever know. I personally have 150 deer on my farm now,so I think we have a good grasp on what it takes to maintain healthy animals. If I can provide any other info for you feel free to call me at 205-296-0062.
