On our corners we put our poles 10' apart with a 10' piece of pipe between them for a top brace. Then we use a diaginol piece of high tensil wire and a tensioner inline to ratchet it tight. We then put our line post 20' apart. We use 2" barbed staples to fasten the wire onto the poles driving them all the way in on the corners and leaving them about a quarter inch out on the line poles to let the fence give(stretch) alittle if a deer should run into it. If you can, make sure you run the fence on the inside of the poles as it will make the fence stronger if a group of deer hit it at the same time and will discourage the bucks from rubbing their antlers on them or running into the poles as they flee down the fence when startled.
