Thanks Scott. I am still waiting for his antlers to come off this year, most my bucks are beginning to show new growth but this guy and two others still have their 2012 rack. My biggest yearling shed in February and now is showing a really nice 2 " or so of new growth, I will put a pic on soon.

I just have to share this photo. My little nephew just loves feeding the deer with me, this is a priceless photo of him giving my doe named Naveah a cookie. I don't have any children of my own yet, but this little boy is one of the biggest blessings I have seen in my life. I wish everyone that opposes deer farming could see this precious young child giggle with joy when he gets to go in and pet the deer, its something few children can expirance now a days, and I am honored to have a deer farm that my little nephew can grow up on.

That's what it's all about!!! That little Man will want that picture in about 10 years!!! Priceless picture !!! Made my DAY!!!!!

Matt, you need to send this in to the PDFA I bet they will put in their magazine! It makes me smile every time I look at it! We all k ow we have not had too much to smile about lately.......

Thank you guys. I appreciate the kind words about my nephews picture, he is a little miracle. My sis and bro-in-law live only 3 miles away from my farm, so I have the privilege of seeing my nephew 3-4 times a week. I enjoy every second, and with the warmer temps now, he can come outside and play with the deer. I can't wait until he gets to bottle feed with me, last year he was only 2 months old when the fawns were born, to young to remember, this year he is going to be thrilled!

Charlie you are right, some little boy snuck a bite out of the cookie before giving it to the deer, lol.

Dennis I might send the photo in, that would give people an image from the lighter, less complicated side of deer farming. We are all about rules and testing, and high feed costs, anymore. I get so frustrated and caught up in all the negative, but when I sit back and look at this photo, I actually get a little emotional because it is moments like these that made me want to get into deer farming, I wanted the close, day to day, hands on contact with whitetails. Now I have the privilege of passing that onto my nephew Andrew, and lots of other little children (and adults) that visit my farm throughout the year.

Today I had triplets for the first time in 5 years (the only other time I had them there was one stillborn)

The doe that had them was live bred, dog tame, her name is Rhoda.

I have hundreds of pics from her 3 hour birthing, but I will share just a few.

First, the doe fawn. I gently pulled this fawn out, to assist momma because she was really struggling with number one, she actually seemed to appreciate it.

Here's Rhoda pushing out number two, which is a buck, this is 1 hour 45 minutes after fawn one was born.

and here they are all cleaned up. happy family. The doe fawn went to Freedom Whitetails for bottle feeding tonight.
