Gary, I had forgotten that you won a straw last year. What did you have born out of Redline? I am assuming that you had a buck fawn or two by the way you worded your post, other than the 11 that I have, there is only 2 other Redline buck fawns in the counntry- They were born from bred does that I sold at auction last fall. Eddie Ray Borkolder had one from one of those does also, but he called the other day and said that it died. I am going to try a hot wire about 3 feet off of the ground to make Redline stay off of the fence next year. He walked around for 3 weeks scrathing his left horn on the fence, everytime it would start to heal, he would do it again. The fly rubs by my water tanks did thier job well and kept the flies off him. Good luck with your deer. Darren

Darren,

The way redbull looks, I think some straws might end up in Louisiana. If I can every get back there from cleaning up this oil spill in fla.

See you Labor day weekend...

Adam, Im looking forward to you coming up. Redbull is still pouring it on, He is gong to have the longest main beams ever on a yearling. He has a considerable amount of growing left in him. I think when you see him in person, you will really like him. Bring me back some of that BP oil to put on my fly rubs. Darren

Darren, Redbull is an amazing yearling. His beams and tine length are very impressive. Great Buck.

When are we gonna get a chance to guess at his score. Sure would be fun.

Virgil, what the heck-Im game. I have had an unreal response to Redbull and a guessing game might give someone a chance to breed with him that otherwise wouldnt. I am only selling 50 straws of him in the north this year and about half are already gone. To protect the people's investment in Redbull, the farm price is now 4,000 and Redline is also 4,000(Redline is only available in the South). I will keep it simple,CLOSEST GUESS TO REDBULLS SCORE WINS AND AVERAGE LENGTH OF MAIN BEAMS WILL BE THE TIEBREAKER . We will go with the score we come up with when we pull semen on Oct. 26 so that the winner can use it this year.Warning-- Hes still growing strong, but everyone is in the same boat. One guess per person on this thread and please give your name. The link to the video is at the top of the thread. Darren

I ll guess 210 " and 26 1/2 beams. Thanks for giving us all a chance. Jeff

Darren thanks for the chance at such a great yearling.

My guess will be

222 3/8 with 27 1/8 inch beams

Thanks Darren that is one nice yearling and a great pen full of bucks.

I;m gonna go with 209 3/8 and 25 1/2 inch beams

Sure wish I could see him in person I'm sure he is even much more impressive in person. Keep up the good work stay and honest.

:)Virgil, I have been raising deer for 15 years, honestly. I have honestly spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on genetics, facilities, promotion and advertising, vet bills, etc.etc.etc.It is 10:30 here and we just got in from choring. If We made min. wage it would take several hundred thousand dollars to pay our wages for the last 15 years, but we dont do it for only the money, nor does anyone else in this business. We have been very blessed in the last couple of years with some truly outstanding young bucks and I would like to think that it is a result of our years of efforts and not all luck.I intend to honestly make some of my money back. Honestly
