I didn't want to let it slide but the auction company didn't seem to want to help me with the guy and I just gave up. Trust me I was PO! She was the only doe I ever bought that I couldn't make my money back from, I ended up with zero on a near 5 digit purchase. Yeah well, I think I might try that auction thing again next year, but be a little more selective...
if any of these deer are crossing state lines,would this type of fraud fall under federal jurisdiction? sounds like fraud to me , Doesn't uncle Sam love to get involved in things like this, Martha Stewart was in jail for a long time and that was only over $25,000 deal.

Curtis you must know what the saying..A Women Scorn.. Well i think this is a little higher than that.I have been married to this girl for 20 years and i think i have only seen her this worked up once in that time. I hate to remember what i did wrong that time but it was not good.lol I can tell you that money is the last reason that she is flippin out on this deal. I mean money makes the world go round but it is bad enough what this guy is doing to us we have found a few people in the last couple days that have been burned in some way by this guy.She contacted every auction company in deer and anyone else that will listen to her. I kinda feel sorry for him because he has no idea what kinda tidal wave is about to hit him in 8 days if this does not get resolved. Trust me..I know as like i said 20 years!!!! LOL

Just an update on my little problem.The deer that we bought did infact die.It was one of 5 or 6 in the last 30+days.We got a copy of the report and it says it died of severe fibrinosuppurative bronchopneumonia with pleuritis of 35% of its lungs. Not real sure on those big words but it sure dont sound good.Spoke with the vet and he says he did 4 health checks on deer from this farm today for deer that are to leave this farm soon.I know if i had that many deer die on my farm here in ny they would not let me sell deer untill said problem was taken care of.In one breath the vet says he has good healthy deer and in the next he says he will send us a copy of the death papers.I dont get it!!!I hope this stuff cant be transferred from deer to deer and i hope whomever bought said deer are not givin a sick deer.The guy did offer a straw off the farm of a deer that i would not want to use in my program even if it was free as thats not the direction we are going.I also had a choice to put the money towards another buck fawn and take my chances its not sick.Im also sure it wont be the same price i bought it for at auction.Waiting for reply to see what happens next.
Wow this just keeps getting worse.I think you do need to stick to your guns on this matter and who in their right mind pick another deer off this farm.He at the least should stop selling deer to anyone untill the problem gets under control.What ever happened to doing a deal like it should be done.You are telling me that he wants to charge you boarding for 30 days?How much could that be? I am sure its not what you paid down on a deer from an auction.I hope you tell us who this farm is and i wish good luck to whoever bought the 4 deer that the vet looked at today. They may have the same thing and not hit them untill they get to their new home. I would be smokin mad if that happened to me and he just said sorry when he knew there was a problem. Unbelieveable!
Things like this could keep people from buying at auctions unless you know the person and have done business with them before.

James we dont want to hurt anyone over this deal and all three of the biggest auctions know about what is going on here.I mean he wants to charge us $750.00 for 30 days of boarding...Come on.. I cant help that he can in a good mind still sell deer to people that might die when they get them.He has a bad problem..The vets know he has a bad problem and they still give health papers,Thats out of my hands but i wish the people luck that bought them.He is trying to burn us and we are ready to take this as far as needed.If it hurts us in the long run then we will have to deal with that.I have spoken to so many farmers and auction people on this and there is not one that says we are in the wrong.This will go public and to the court system if need be.I would hope it would not have to come to this but it will not be swept under the rug!!!

We don't sell deer at auctions anymore just to avoid messes like this. The last one we sold the guy made excuse after excuse not to come and pick up the deer. We ended up feeding that deer for a year and a half beyond what was the agreement. We don't keep deer here for someone else - when you buy the deer you need to come and get it. We don't want to be responsible if something beyond our control happens to the deer. Don't sell it to a third party unless you first have it on your farm. I think it is crazy how many people own deer but never have them on their farm.
If you buy a deer from us we will work with you to get it to your farm but within a reasonable amount of time! You will be buying from us - someone you have met and talked to first - not a number on an auction.

I agree but i think this guy is taking them for a ride.No permit untill dec,They were ready to pickup the next week and the farmer says no.Farmer sells deer at auction in august when he knows he cant move deer untill november. Dead deer 5 or 6 in 30 days.Charge $750.00 for 1 month boarding fee.CRAZY.. This guy needs to give full refund!!Who wants to buy deer from a sick farm?What kind of farm sells when they know they have deer dropping left and right.Every deer farmer needs to know who this farmer is and four seasons needs to take to court,go public,whatever it takes..

We agreed then HE sold a fawn @ auction to someone else in 2010 it's still here........DNA'd and have gotten health papers 3 times for them at $65. a pop and we are still feeding her! and its almost March 2011! and this stuff happens alot on both sides. Thanks wayne and everyone else. Wayne you know the deal with my case and i dont blame you or jane one bit.Thats one of the things that burns me the most on this deal.I luv nothing more than raising deer and i want each one i buy.I was ready to get that little buck fawn the next week and he couldnt even move deer.Then i have to contact him to get things moving and he has balls enough to tell me i should have picked it up by now.To say now he wants to charge me $750.00 for boarding for a month.Man it burns my a$$ and im telling ya no matter what it takes this will get resolved be it court or whatever.It may cost me more in the long run but if it stops this crap from going on with this guy or anyone else that would do this to someone it will be worth it.I have bought 14 of some of the best deer out there in the last year and met so many great people that went above and beyond for me. Like i said about dustin,I didnt even have that deer half paid when he let me take her home.That takes some kind of person to do that and i guess i could have gotten her home and said well i paid enough for her and never paid him another nickle.It would be kinda like what this guy is doing to us.Never could i do that.When i get big enough and get some great animals together to sell people will be happy with their sale or we will do WHATEVER it takes to do that.Just like you and jane have done.Now i think you are kinda gettin the shaft yourself and whoever owns that deer knows you are going way above and beyond.Mabey though you have went far enough and should start pushing some buttons!!

Mike, $750. For a month...............I want to board for that too! We get $900. for a year and that includes......Shots,treats,hay,water,Ehd vac and about anything else they need..............So if this TURKEY has any extra deer he needs room and board for and he can get that kinda money..........I wanna meet that DUMMY!

Thank you to them for making so enjoyable!

I wrote a long post here and deleted it because all I really wanted to say was, all transactions at auctions do not go bad, most are very successful transactions.
I have developed many friendships because of successful auction tranactions either buying or selling and I am thankful for these friendships that had it not been for the whitetail deer bussiness they never would have occured

Rick you are so right.I have bought most of my deer from auctions.Most i had already met the farmer first and then made my decision if i wanted to buy what he had.Trust me when i say i had my eye and alot of bids on some of the deer you were offering.I will not let this one a$$clown ruin my way of going to auctions with both to buy and sell and no one else should either.I just think(and so many other people)think what this guy is doing is just plain wrong and he has a few more days and he will be exposed to any person that will read our post or listen to us talk.As i said before if this helps save one other person in the long run,it will be time well spent..
