Thanks for playing. Time is up :):):) I will announce the score and the winner as soon as we add it all up.:):):)

We are done adding up the score on RolexBy10. Here are some numbers:

The left antler scored 331 3/8 and had 47 points. The right antler scored 197 7/8 and had 31 points. The final score was 547 2/8. Of course this was a velvet score but he also had a bunch of growing left to do! We only gave the big glob of drops (6 total) 45 inches. It was a shame to give something so big, so little. They were smashed up from him laying his head on them.

The lucky winner was Mason Irvin with a guess of 547 5/8.

On the DOWN side, we lost RolexBy10 yesterday. :( The 13 days of temps over 100 (with some 105-110) was not a good time to be carrying those antlers. We had ice water out along with good shade and all but it looked like he went to feed and water less and less. Most deer here can take a few days of that but they are not built for those conditions for long periods of time. We didn't see any antler infection just a case of dehydration and pneumonia. I felt like we did all we could for about 48 hours once the weather broke a little. My only regret is we didn't act sooner. He will be greatly missed!

Brian and I feel fortunate to have had a deer of his caliber and look forward to watching his offspring grow and crossing them with deer like New Image and others. Thanks for all the comments and putting up with me posting all the pictures. :)
