Well guess if i am gonna be a deer farmer i need to come up with a name for my farm . I need some ideas . I was gonna use my last name (Holzschuh) but im think'n Thats a little long ,and no one could even pronounce it :):):p

I'll give the pronunciation a try. Hole-shuh. In Texas there is a festival called klogendansers. "Dance of the wooden shoes". Are you familiar with this phrase? My first cousins are German, Schwartz and I have several lines of German in my ancestory. Genealogy is one of my hobbies. I have seen it spelled Hulzschuh but only once. Good luck with naming your farm.

think about a name from a river or a mt, or a land mark from where your at ? ie, clam river whitetails, ect;)

Try not to blend in with all the mountains, trees (pine, spruce, poplar, cedar, etc,) ridges, hollows. Neat short catch phrases are good or like crocket said a name of something near you (that is original and nobody else will have). The purpose of you name is partly marketing, so people remember who you are. Make it memorable.

great point

I think a catchy name or unique in variety is what appeals to me. It's nice to think the name is what helped customers to inquire or repeat business but that has more to with service and quality in my opinion.

Jamie, I have my million+ miles under my belt as well. I used to run mostly WI to the west coast and back, but went the FL direction enough to know I liked the peace of the road out west better:p I'm still in the "transportation and relocation business" but I can't say I miss the driving that much.

WillPenn gave you a couple of good options for a name. Just don't call your farm "Lot Lizard Central" It might give the wrong impression:eek::p

Here's

what i got so far . Help me out cast your vote. :)

Double Take Whitetails

Double drop Whitetails)

Gone Wild Whitetails ( just sounds cool )

Some of these may be taken , dont know .
