hey everyone just had a question. Went out to the pen yesterday and noticed this on one of my 1 year olds it a black wart about the size of a fifty cent piece. Just wondering on what i should do, leave it? Otherwise he is very tame and i can get right up to him if i should put something on there.

I would leave it. It may just fall off on its own. Next time you have to knock him down possibly cut it off. I dont think it will hurt anything.

We have a few deer with these and we've had some in the past. They typically just fall off on their own without treatment.

It will fall off on its own, but if you did dart him for some other reason go ahead and take it off. It's only "cosmetic" for the most part, but it makes me feel better when it's off.

I almost thought the problem was having 3 legs! Lol!

Seen them as well before on more than one of my deer. I never did anything with them...they never became a problem...totally cosmetic as far as I have experienced.

They are fibromas. They are sort of like a wart or something and yes, they will eventually fall off. So nothing to worry about.
