Its already the last full week of April, and it seems there is always someone on the forums that will start a fawn post when the time comes. I am guessing that someone on the forums will have one by suprise around the 5th of May, just make sure to post pics if you do. I am not expecting any until the 20th of May, but who knows, maybe I will be the one with the first suprise of the year. I just look forward to the start of the 2010 fawn thread, I think it will jumpstart the forums after a long winter. Its finally winding down to fawning time, i am really excited, Good luck to all this fawning season.

You know every year by August time I'm glad to see the fawning season go.....and i always wonder if i am going to be excited for the bottle feeding again......well then winter comes and goes and fawning times again and I can't wait for that first one to hit the ground.......but i must say i hope it is a few weeks yet because i am not ready for the little buggers yet!!!

We had our first fawns this afternoon, we are at day 194 on our modified breeding and 185 on our first cerv Ai. I dont know who has been pacing more me or the does..

Rainer, You LUCKY dog!;) GOOD LUCK with them! And Best of LUCK to everyone and them one hole and 2 hole wonders!:)

Thanks, we have about 60 more does due in the next couple of weeks and seams like once one goes they all want to go .. Our pens were just crazy this afternoon..

our fawns are due May 11th based on 196days from AI on Oct 27, 2009, they look like they are ready to POP

Out of the four bred does i got only one even looks pregnant! The rest look normal. Has anyone ever had their does not really get very big and still fawn? Or are this does just going to be really late?

Trigger are they first time mothers?, mine look small as first time mothers sometimes right up to fawning because they might only have one, then again some are huge and only have one.

Out of 5 Doe that should have fawns one of mine looks small to me. I hope she took. This will be her second year to have a fawn or fawns!!!!!????? Any way it goes i will be happy. I have started paceing the pens each evening.

Trigger, We have two does that fawn every year and they never really show that much maybe look just a little fat and cant believe two fawns come out of them every year so theres hope if there not showing much they might only have a single fawn.Good Luck

We have a 17 year doe that has given us the first fawns on May 15 for 6years , and one year on the 14 th and one year on the 16th which were leap years. In the 15 years of giving fawns she has always been the first to give birth.

My due date is may 24. But a friend of mine R&T Whitetails had a set of fawns on march 30th he asked them if they were wering long johns of course they didnt reply

I know a guy at work that seen a group of wild doe feeding along the road 2 weeks ago, he said there was a newborn fawn in the group, I guess you never know when they could show up

What a Blessing, our first set of fawns were born this morning Hardcore/Doubledown. Thanks Cougar Ridge for packing good quality semen and thanks to Apple Creeks AI team.
