2011 Top 30

Roger is right - this has come a long way. We attended those first Top 30 sales at Kevin's barn in Missouri. One time the heat wasn't working and it was really cold, then the bathrooms were freezing up. That had to be one of the first auctions - we actually brought the deer to the auction then as well. There was a revolving door that opened into the auction area where each deer was brought out to be bid on. The original Top 30 only had 30 consignors and we were invited to be one of them. People were skeptical about a deer auction but after a few rough initial years it caught on. We were one of the first supporters and did what we could to promote it. One year we were even the top spender!

We now feel we have some of the best looking and producing deer in the industry, regularly producing 300+ three year olds, and purchase very little semen to cross with our already very diverse herd. We raise all we need for our hunting preserve, plus sell a few select deer to the breeding market. It is a good place to be!
