2013 fawns popping out

Today for the very first time ever BH "The Kid" fawns were born.

"The Kid" is, Cardiac Kid / PA Geronimo / Bucky / Redoy Magnum / Redoy Bill.

The Bucky doe is Emma the mother to BH Mack who scored 226" @ 3 and was 25"+ on the inside. He is the 4th pic.

The 3rd pic is The Kid at age 1 in 2012.

The 2nd pic is Cardiac Kid.

The 1st pic is the pedigree of the fawns born today.

These fawns are Kesha's first fawns ever. She took to AI on the first try last fall. I may consider selling Kesha (A Poncho daughter) now that I have this cross to add to my herd.

I am happy to have stacked the power of Emma in these fawns this way. Both of these girls will be started on the bottle and I am keeping one for myself. I will offer one of them for sale. If your interested in hearing more let me know.

There is a pic in the antler section from last week, I will email you one next time I can get a good picture. Last years picture is in my album I think
 
Had 2 fawns out of our Reno doe Ai'd to Texas Timber, is not very good fawning weather here right now. It is cold and rainy and neither of the fawns survived :mad: Very disappointed.
 
Sorry Mike for your loss. This weather pattern is way out of the normal.



We had a pair a buck fawns last night out of our EW Rampage doe live bred to Hunters Tea. It was so cool last night Tina told me our daughter stayed out with the fawns till 1 this morning.



Can't wait to get home to see all these little ones running around.

I hear you Mike. This has been the most miserable weather we have had during fawning season in the thirteen years we have had deer! It doesn't look like it's going to improve anytime soon either! We have been battling to keep fawns dry and warm. Probably should have bottle fed them all! Ugh!! Sorry about your loss.
 
Mike I'm so sorry to hear about the fawns, you will have another straw for a future breeding with Texas Timber if you want for free, i hope that eases a little of the pain.

Clay that is top notch......just don't happen much now a days!!! Awesome!! mike that stinks......cold and wet is a killer on fawns....I know it will have an impact on our wild herd fawns this year as well...
 
Sorry for the loss of those fawns Mike. It has been cold here the last few days, in fact its in the 40's right now. But thankfully its been dry. I hope it stays that way.

Fawning season blows my mind, you would think having fawns at the tail end of May that the weather would be decent, Instead its colder now than it was 2 weeks ago.
