I think somewhere along the line the real story here has been forgotten or over looked. This guy was charged by the guy who was buying his deer. As I see it if the farmer selling doesn't have the tools, (darts, drugs, gun, knowledge) and someone buys his deer the buyer can work with the seller to get the job done.
They may agree to split the costs of the drugs and darts, or they may have worked out ahead of time who pays for the darts and drugs. But as I see it to charge for the act of darting the deer is down right bull crap and I would never do business with someone like that.
