Starting a thread so we can show more angles of more bucks without taking up a ton of room in the main antlers thread!

If you guys have questions feel free to ask here, pm or email or call me anytime!

Thanks,

Quad

Might as well start with my big boy! Gladiator XL has really exploded this year. I am very blessed to be a part of an animal like this! I cannot wait to see his production.

This next buck is one of my personal favorites. I know its hard to put too much stock in a yearling but, I know the bottom side of this pedigree and I know he is going to get it done. On top of that he doesn't just have a lot of points to give him a good score. He has beams and mass and decent tine length for a youngster.

Keep in mind he was born 6-23-12 and is part of triplets! I will get more angles up pretty quick.

Remedy @ 1

This next buck is one of my favorites and people love to look at him when they visit.

He is all TX blood and is impressive for any 2yr olds but, really impressive for an all TX deer! I will say I plan on crossing his sister out this year though!

He isn't our biggest 2 year old but, he has one heck of a frame!

Some yearling photos and angles

This is a pure TX, August born buck out of one of our covers. I am pretty happy with where he is at and will be a buck to look at next year! We have Gladiator XL fawns on the ground out of his mother right now!

This a Hardcore yearling. It seem hardcore comes on at 2-3 so he has potential. A little narrow for my tastes and short g1's but, I still think he has a chance. His mother is full sister of our Crazy Train's dam.

This last yearling is one of the bigger pure TX yearlings I have seen. His right side grew funny but, was never damaged. He must have had a foot or leg or some sort of injury we didn't catch that caused an abnormal growth for a time. Regardless he has a lot of bone for a 12 month old buck! I will be watching him closely for next year. he is Earl/Meanie Mouse. Earl is a Revolver son out of one of our better does, 723. His mother is DBl bred Might Moose. This buck has Clint stacked 7 times in him back at 5 generations!

Wow, great looking bucks Quad! I Can't wait to use our straw of G-XL, Probably the nicest buck I've seen this year and I'm saying that with all honesty. Remedy's a great looking yearling.

Congrats! What a great bunch, you should be very proud, it takes a lot of time and effort and patients to get where your at. Growing bucks like that is not easy! My goodness do you ever have some beauties! Gladiator xl is one of a kind. He has that look that just draws your eye to him.

Thank you guys very much! We have a great crew around here that really care about these deer and collectively there is a lot of time put into them!

The good news is there is even more and I really feel our program is getting ready to grab another gear!

I truly believe that GXL is going to be a great producer, we should get a little sneak peak this time next year! Our fawns out of him look incredible!

We appreciate the support and all those that gambled on GXL, it looks like those that got in early should be rewarded nicely!

Introducing 2 new 2yr olds! Since many of y'all won't be at TDA I might as well get them up here too!

These are big, pretty bucks with even bigger prettier pedigrees! For our introduction party we are going to be making some incredible deals on these bucks and maybe even a few more.

If you like them or one of our other newer young bucks and want to try to get them in your herd then email, text or call me Wed-Saturday. After that its back to farm price. While its not free its a smoking good deal that is hard to pass up.

Apocalypse @ 2

8x7 mainframe and just a beautiful look in my opinion.

I also believe he is bred perfect to cross into northern genetics or TX genetics.

Gladiator/Kingpin/Maxbo/12jr on W84. W84 is Grand dam to 4M's Black 1. There are some serious girls in the maternal side of this bucks pedigree.

Xpedite @ 2

I am really excited about this buck as I believe he has the potential to be really big at 3. I also really believe in his genetics based on how similar he is bred to Express. I think this guy has even a slight advantage on paper but, the proof will be in the antlers in the next few year!

Gladiator II/727 jr/Bucky/PB

Now if basically adding Bucky into Expresses pedigree isn't enough what really makes me fired up is that the PB doe under Bucky is doe 88. Doe 88 is King Leonidas Dam! Basically everything out of that 88 line are hammers!

Now that our Non-Status facility is done I cannot wait to get these boys and all my girls from South TX up here close to the rest of deer! Going to be a wild winter!

Just an update on this boy. We cut him and moved him into a pen where is going to get a few girls. I knew he was big but, sometimes I feel like I get over excited. Well this deer grew as I approached him n the rain today. I darted him standing next to my largest yearling which probably didn't help his looks!

Here are some stats:

Mainframe 8pt (using B&C) methods. He could be a 5x5 but, I went with 8 based on my knowledge of their rules.

Frame: 121 4/8"

Gross: 175 7/8

IS: 18 4/8

Mass: 28 3/8"

17 6/8" beams

Not planning on collecting him since we have so many young deer to collect that are bigger but, being pure TX I might.

If you are interested in using him let me know. If it makes sense for me to collect him I will and I would certainly price him like a pure Tx deer should be priced as a yearling.

Dna# 122758

He is bred very well! I'm so excited about him for our future!

This is not one of our bigger yearlings but I love his shape and conformation. We also cut him today and he was 139". Not bad but, no superstar, yet!

These are the updates I hate to give.

Rehab got EHD just before TDA and we got him through it. He actually seemed to be doing well and started pushing antler about 10 days after the first treatment for ehd.

Well he slowly started going downhill and we watched, treated and did everything we could. We finally knocked him down and cut him, he lived over a week in the barn after what we believe was a stroke.

I hate to say it but he finally passed about a week ago. I will miss him and it hurts I can't cover.

I appreciate all those that had put deposits on semen but, you should have your deposits back by now.

He will be missed but, we will keep trying to grow more just like him!

He was 269 5/8" and still bleeding enough he was pushing a little bone. His beams were 26" but, obviously had been stunted due to hitting them on the ground.

Here is one of the last pictures with his horns on.
