DC- I am so sorry. My heart was beating fast as I read each one of your post. Then I cried when I read that she had passed. You and your wife are in my prayers as well as the rest of your deer. We do all we can to care for these beautiful creatures then mother nature comes along and, well, you know :(

Got lucky, testing is animals over 16 months she 15 Months,22,nd this month.called just to make sure i swore it was 1 yr.sometimes you gotta read your paperwork! i cut her open some just to look for baby, None, saw some yellow stuff and real bright Green gut i never saw that green before. i not gonna necrop.i not got money to spend on dead deer. so i will really never now, i hate that, Sorry. In my opinion your doe had EHD or Blue Tongue. Sorry about the death. Are you spraying and was she vaccinated? Everyone has to realize if you are going to raise deer, you are going to lose some. Sometimes its tough. I guess I take it better than most. When Maximus D/T died it botherd me for a couple of hours but I felt lucky to have him live until he was six. Those dang knats cause us and free range deer all this heck and no government agency seems worried. CWD don't kill squat and they pull the curtains on everything. Good luck with the rest of your deer. Be sure to get her burried or burned. If she is available to the knats more of them carry the infection. I could write a book here but I better stop.
 
Thanks tim Burried,deep, any time you raise animals you gotta expect things, i was ready when i saw sick.i get it out mind real quick,spraying has comminced. all we can do is just do the best we can for them, Thanks Dc
 
Tim, This is a different strain than what was in the vaccine, I guess. We had two dead in one day, both vaccinated, but no spraying was done yet. After 2005, we kinda got numb to it, but still sucks. The one last night was too late for spleen, but if another , I will try to get samples for test on new strain we have now.
 
dc be careful with draxin one dose every seven days. dex every other day. drop to 2cc on banamin after first day very hard on liver and kidneys. dex lowers there immune system if not much swelling I would not use it. Just my thoughts Bill K

DC I have been gone the past couple days and first I have been on the forums......I'm sorry to hear about your Loss.......it always happens to the ones we have a super close bond with.......man I really feel bad for you .....just reading the thread was like living the nightmare with you only 100 times worse for you........I'm sorry DC....I really hope things get better for you buddy.....you in my prayers!!
 
Thanks Dennis, dont feel bad buddy, we both had a case bad luck this yr.i kina got a layer buit up. wife all she said bout it today was i miss brushing her, time always takes care of these situtions, you just gotta learn from all your mistakes and pray lot mor.Dc
