What semen are you using this year?

We AIed on Wednesday with Rex, Allstar, Amos, and our straw of Michigan Weapon blew out the stopper when thawing it and got water into the semen. Very disappointed that the semen was no good.
Mike that happened to me the last two years and I only have 2 Roosevelt fawns on the farm from the last two breeding seasons. One was that 147" yearling and the other is a buck fawn with big knobs. Needless to say we live covered him to 3 ***** this year so we can actually get a few more fawns. So how do those button bucks from him look?
Add Banshee to our list. We're AIing Wednesday. Then the waiting begins. Good luck to everyone this year with your AI programs.

Dustin the twins are rubin there heads more and more every day.I expect to see hard buttons anyday.I will get some pictures to ya!!!They have the biggest buttons of this years crop!!!

We are going to use a ton of Timberjack! We will also use RolexBy10, Cardiac Kid, Mr. Pebbles, Maxbo Impact, Hydro Power Axe, Tug McGraw, Tim McGraw, Black Mamba, The Chosen One, and Sneakers 727. Our Timberjack offspring are head and shoulders above everything else we've tried so why switch? And believe me we've tried a lot of um! Size still does matter. We still buy and sell by score

Sorry to hear about your Michigan Weapon....Brian and Amy! I've heard several stories about that happening this year.
We AIed 22 does and one of them was a live cover so yes we will be having a lot of fawns out our way between me and neighboring farms that bred here. I've got a few fantastic pedigreed ***** for sale bred to Rolls Royce, Energizer, PJ Ranger and Roosevelt if anyone is interested.

I had set up 48 elk for AI. I had enough semen to do them but the semen was very poor quality plus the fact 1/2 of the straws blew up. I was only able to salvage enough semen to do 22 elk cows. A very disappointing AI season for my elk. Might say a year wasted.
I know better than this and have always had back up semen for a problem straw but would have never expected this many bad straws from a semen collection. The fellow I got the semen said he would replace the straws. He did say I was not the only one with these problems. We all know that straw replacement will not pay for the year wasted and the expense of setting up the cows with cidr's. Like all farming maybe next year will be better.

We are AIng Gladiator daughters, Gladiator granddaughters, RedRock granddaughters, Gold Bucky Boy daughters and Popeye daughters with Maxbo, Hydro Ax, Michigan Weapon and Lakota. I hope they all do well.
We AI'ed 27 does on tuesday morning with Rigid, Big Rig, GD Romeo, GD Big Sir, Climax, Hydro-axe, Wesson, and Duramax. All does were done by Glenn Ericsson and are all doing great.
