How many days are your ai'd does running...

I had 2 does come in already. One at day # 196

and one at day # 197. Waiting on 4 more im at day # 199

today.

Had one at 191 days and 2 at 193 days. Still have 3 to go for AI. One looks like she's going to explode and one started pacing the fence. We are at 197 days today.

Hey Susan, congratulations on the fawns. Sounds like you had a busy weekend. We had a fawn born yesterday that I think you may be interested in. I found her yesterday morning at daylight. At first I thought my J-44 doe had triplets. We were so proud because we had never had triplets before. Well, we still haven't. I finally discovered that only two fawns were hers and the other was from this doe. Apparently she only had a single fawn. She is very large though. If you are interested in her I will honor the price I quoted you earlier, but I have her priced differently on the ad.

Let me know if your interested. I have ads placed on deerfarmer

W.S., we ai'd 14 head here this year. We did vaginal and split our straws twice. We used cidrs and ai'd at about 56 hours after pulling them. It looks like we will be around 90-95% conception this year in just our second year of doing AI. We currently have 2 Loner buck fawns, 2 Hardcore buck fawns, 2 Tonto doe fawns, 1 Tonto buck fawn (trips) 2 Wildfire doe fawns, 6 Maxbo buck fawns and 15 AI does remain. We are planning to do lap AI about 35 does this fall. Do some checking around and you'll find many guys with great success. Good luck

We Ai'd 7 does for our farm, 6 stuck, we used PMSG, left CIDR's in for 14 days, AI'd 60 hours after pulling CIDR's. We used Buckhorn AI Team, all were done cervically in a Mama declayna dropchute. Buckhorn success rate for the last 3 years has been 75%.

Whitetail Sanctuary, if you look under "Breeding and Genetics" you will find a discussion I started about A/I that has some of the basics put together in an article. Hope it helps.

We are at day 201, 11 out of 14 have gone, now we have a little break before the next batch of AI doe's go, and yes I did get out finally.

WOW nice Paint Brush!!!!! New Babies and Turkey Hunting. How could it get any better. We have been done with the turkey for a month down in Southern Illinois, but you just gave me the fever for next year. My wife will not be happy!!!!!

4 more fawns today. 2 buck fawns from maxfli. sadly a buck and doe fawn from edgemoor deuce were stillborn. first one was breech and the second couldn't get past. had to pull both.

First fawns ever to be born at my place! One buck and one doe! Looking foward to what tomorrow brings! It's like a great big lottery every time I go in the pen now.

Roger, 2 bucks from Maxfli... must be nice!

Is your mother doe ok that was breeched?

Hey Rusty (proud papa), glad to hear you finally got fawns down there, hopefully many more on the way. We had two more tonight from Waldvogel's Duece, don't know the sex yet. The breeched doe seems okay, but I am concerned about infection setting in.

Triplet Marty Gras fawns today. 2 does, 1 buck. We have nearly 50% of our fawns now.

Yea, as I said before this is my first time fawning and up until I found the first fawn I was not completely convinced does were puffed up enough to be throwing right now. In fact, I can't tell who the mother is and I only have three candidates. I pulled the doe fawn after about 24-48 hours and now after trying to bottle feed her she is finally getting it down at a good rate. In a house of screaming kids I am surprised she took to it so nicely. I have a hunch of the mother but will have to see how behaviors change when others fawn. I may have to wait and see who buck fawn suckles to find out. I am still a rookie feeling out the ropes. If there is an easier way short of DNA then I'm all fawn ears fellas!

Rusty...becareful not to let your buck fawn fool you. Just because he nurses on a doe doesn't always mean that's Momma. I have seen a couple of great does take care of whatever fawn wanted to latch on. Good Luck with "momma hunting" :)
