Who do you think are the greatest producers of all time?

I have to completely agree with mike and roger... When you breed within the line for the desirable traits you are looking for you have very few holes in the pedigree!!!! This is why the flees line is so solid... Mike is right, there are some lines out there that have been breeding this way for a long time. And i will stay the results are eye popping ...

I agree with all so far but one that we are missing not alot in the north know about is BAMBI DOUBLE DROP. If you look at just about any breeder buck in Texas you will see his name in the pedigree. I think as far as look and also needing a outcross with all of our deer up north, we need to start looking at some of these southern bucks to breed with, i know am breeding hard to texas deer will it hurt me in the long run we will see?

I would list these bucks in no certain order but just that they have produced well one way or another.

PA Geronimo

Sundance

Redoy Bill

Little boomer

Patric line

Maxbo

and RDM Fire ball does and grand daughters seem to be popping out some nice ones for all the more he has been used.

I have to agree

Flees.......WOW

MAX...........Without him Maxbo is a no show!

Sundance..........Look at his PRODUCTION.....

And i think THUNDER is way over looked!!!!

Maxbo? Lets see how his DAUGHTERS DO...?

PA GERONIMO.......A FOUNDING FATHER for sure!

Cardinal,Charlie,Peacock,Peach,Banshee,Savage,Pepsi,Magnum..............OLD SCHOOL PRODUCTION!!!!!!!!!!...........Comin on STRONG! :)

Wayne I forgot about Thunder. It seems like Thunder granddaughters produce (Mike Nedry, Ron and Mary pierce lines). So lets try a BJ/Thunder doe topped off with Maxbo, Martygraw, PA Geronimo, Sundance or Banshee. Nice:D

Fellas, the Maxbo daughters are producing. Cash and RDM's yearling Sunbo are the first two that jump into my head. We are hopeing to show very soon what Maxbo does will do. We now have 5. One is the mother to RDMs Sunbo, three had their first fawns last summer and the last on is a Maxo/Thunder doe fawn that will be bred this fall. HE WILL PASS DOWN THOSE GREAT GENETICS....

Michael, We all know that in WC CASH'S case its not the MAXBO influence.........It's the JPM MAFIA influence and DENA (LOL) :D:D

Arrowhead,

I do think there are a few nice bucks out of Maxbo doe's but, Maxbo has several hundred son that have dna on file. I can only assume that there is as many daughters out there and I just don't think the percentage of buck produced out of those doe's is as high as it should be for Maxbo to be called an all time great yet. Time will tell.

Do the math. If Maxbo daughters were bred as yearlings when he was a three year old then their oldest sons would be 5 years old. This is saying that they had buck fawns. I have never ask David how many does he bred to Maxbo the first year or two so I could give a better example. I don't know how many daughters he has but they will be producers, just like their daddy and brothers.

If max did not produce him he produced the one that did. Then he produces max dream and kid dynimite.288 and341 at two. #1 max #1. NOT ONE SIRE HAS PRODUCED TWINS @2 THIS BIG AND PRETTY. PS. MAX DID IT WITH 600 LESS DNA OFFSPRING THAN ONE OF HIS SONS.

Just checked DNA Solutions and it is totally amazing that Max would be 12 yrs old and there is only a little over 200 DNA'd offspring and was able to have such monster production with so little semen sold.

Maxbo produces giant bucks, but in order to be considered the greatest producer of all time, your does need to produce as well.

Here are the Top 10 Maxbo Does I can think of that have produced big sons:

#1. Yellow 66 - produced Double Max and Perfect Storm

#2. Let me think... how about Yellow 125? No wait, she is a Max daughter that produced Rolex, the biggest buck alive today.

#2 again. I need to keep thinking...

Can someone help me out? I can't think of any more Maxbo does that have produced big sons off the top of my head, but there have to be some out there. I mean, there are 400 DNA'd Maxbo does in the registry...
